    Thumbs up 2005 Mustang

What's everyone's opinion on the 2005 Mustang. I think it looks awesome. It will have 300hp. I want to trade in my 2002.

Well the Ford GT is not affordable to the majority of us. It is sweet though.

I would rather have a C5, or cheaper fox body to play with.

The fox body is also much lighter, and doesn't have that stupidly overweight OHC engine that is as big as a 460 big block.

300HP? The LS1 cars have been dumping over 300 HP at the wheels since 1997.

How about a 2004 SVT Cobra at $29k at 300hp? It'll put a smile on your face- guaranteed.

Great performance from the '04 but the '05 is the first Mustang in many years where I can get excited about the styling.

I'm with NG... I love the Mustangs from the late 60's & early 70's but haven't really cared for them since. But these new '05's look smooth & sleek Love the front grill!

The six-cylinder 2005 shouldn't retail much higher than the current car, which starts at about $18,000.

I personally would go with Chevy's for trucks, but am partial to the '60s Mustangs....especially the Shelby in my gallery , as well as other muscle cars.

Someday I'd like a '60s AC Cobra. After law school, I'm probably getting a SVT Cobra though. Concept cars are cool, but you'll never beat the old school American Muscle cars. Besides, the true '65 Shelby had only 500 made and that's part of what makes it so special.
I do have some good mods on my current car, but no way in hell I'd ever own a damn rice rocket. lol

i like the new 2005's but i would rather have a 2003 SVT Cobra, they come stock with a supercharger and put out 390 horses. they run mid 12's stock. as for 300 horsepower in the new GT's, i think Ford could do better, my freind has a 2001 Trans Am that has 340, the new Cobra is really the only mustang that will beat a V8 camaro or firebird. i'd still take the mustang anway cuz im a ford guy

Only ford I would ever buy is the GT. It is the cheaper verison of the Enzo Ferrari.
