I'm not sure about that - one witness said the tone of his remarks seemed bad...and he was on Jimmy Kimmel's show last night and when Kimmel asked him twice if he was gonna sue Simmons, the guy said he didn't know what was gonna happen yet.
Sounded like a possible easy money suit to me. I'll bet we see that happening.

If he lightly tapped you with his hand, knowing that the police themselves say the injury, if any, was minor to non existant - you would still sue?

Well, to comment on your first part, that's why i said "unfortunately thats what the world is coming to". i didnt say i think its "ok", i said it sucks how the first thing people do now is sue. Shit, back in the old west, people would get in a quarrel and the loser would die in a gunfight
to your second part, it depends, on like i said, IF i could make money. you never know what kinda fucked up shit the legal system can determine, for example if the slap is worth millions of dollars. i'm sure he could sue him for "assault, destruction of character" and a BOATLOAD of other ridiculous bullshit things that they made up. but people make $ off those things all the time. so again, to answer your question, IF i could make alot of money, sure i'd sue the shit outta him.
