I'm sorry, but this woman has to fry IMO. She knew enough to hide one of the bodies from one of her sons before she killed him too, which proves to me she knew she was wrong. Of course she is insane to do such a thing, but she knew better. But if I was her husband I would get to her first, then nothing would need to be done!

I personally feel that you need to die regardless of whether or not you were insane at the time of the murder, but that's just me. If you can just go off like that and kill someone, let alone 3 kids, there is no amount of psychotherapy that you can go through that would give a 0% chance of you doing it again. Now she will be in an insane asylum and be out on the street in 5 yrs miraculously recovered.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

They were already wondering when she would get to see the child that has permanant brain damage with a tube that drains synovial fluid for the rest of his life. I say she already lost that chance! I agree, no amount of treatment will change her-ever!

Someone please explain the concept of "INNOCENT by reason of insanity" to me. Excuse me? You commited the crime, didn't you? That means you're GUILTY!!! OK, you may have committed it because you were insane but YOU'RE STILL GUILTY!!!
Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???
