Personally I think anytime you tan you should moisturize before and after. Nothing special for me although I like moisturizers with Aloe Vera in it.
I started tanning today and did it for like 8 minuts. I burn very easily due to very fair skin so I am starting very slowely to make sure I don't just burn, I want to get a base coat down first then gradually increase the time.
Question is should I be using some sort of cream on mybody before hand or will I be fine with just bare skin? Any advice on this topic would be great I am very new to this. Thanks.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...
Go slow with tanning. As you said, increase each day but in the future donīt stay too long in the sun too.
Choose hours that are not between 10am and 4 pm.
I tanned for a couple of months over a year ago and they strongly recommended tanning lotionMakes sense I guess.
