People are not like that, are they ?

I wanna trust somebody that I donīt know but it is getting more difficult to do that.
Every time I turn on the news I often find a display of "bad" people. It gives me the idea that most people are like that.

Yes, people are evil. Its all about greed. All you can do is hope that the person you are trusting doesnt fuck you over.

Most people can't even trust themselves.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I was about to say "the only constant" but I knew that you would understand.
I think that the people that go through it in some way are f** brave. I am not prepared to take that step too.

I'm a bit more optomistic about this. lol

tit and I were talking about a similar topic just right before I read this thread. Of course news is gonna show bad things cuz that's what gets them ratings, period. We're almost brainwashed cuz it's being fed into our heads every day.

But no, don't hate people by any means. There are some bad people in the world, but there's nice ones too. And those you can cherish the most. You can decide who to trust or not, and you won't always be right. Some people will stab you in the back. Some people will betray you. Regardless of whether you perdicted it or not. But if you live life without trusting anyone, ever loving someone, then you're going to live a pretty lonely existance. I can't stand alot of people, I get mad at all the fuckers that honk the horn at me and don't know why I might have not turned at the stop sign yet or why I'm not going 55 mph in a 30 like they are while they hide behind their protective glass not looking me in the eyes or knowing who I am. Or people who find it ok to be rude on a message board online because they're safe beind an internet line in their mother's basement. But ya know, I've taken enough psychology classes to understand that it's not them individually, it's the way we're designed. They mean no harm to you personally, and not completely their fault. They're still assholes, and I personally learn from other's and my own failures, trying to make myself a better, more humane person so that those around me may maybe learn from it and make my experience with them a bit better, or maybe ween out the assholes and learn better who I can trust.

No doubt. But I am one of the "Few good men". Once someone takes that leap of faith, then they will realize that, and trust will be established.

On a serious note, there are good people in this world. The only problem is that if they do not a agree with the opinion of the masses or the world does not get there way with them, that good person is suddenly labeled as "bad".

Why should they trust you when you don't trust them?

by the way. If you're truly interested in this topic I HIGHLY recommend the documentary Bowling for Columbine by Micheal Moore. It's a film that came out a few months ago that tackles this same issue (it's actually a gun control documentary but a good portion of it is used dealt with the same topic) and even if you don't give a damn about gun control (like myself) or humanity it's a good watch just because of it's cleverness and it has a message that really makes you go "hmmmmm"

I never said I wouldnt trust anyone. Liek I said, you just have to take a leap of faith sometimes, and hope they dont fuck you over. I usually like to talk/chat with someone before I will trust them though.

I'm not denying that he can be a shmuck. I don't understand or necissarily agree with everything he says, he's not quite the "Make so simple people can't help but agree" kinda guy he wants to be. (I think John Stewart from The Daily Show is alot that way) But I think he does a good portrayal of the media (I truly despise the media) and how they dirty up our perspective on the world

I agree 100%. I'll give someone the benefit of the doubt first usually. That is unless they have already displayed serious integrity flaws.
