This was pretty much certain to happen. This is yet another infringement on civil rights.

I have no problem with someone going to church, so why would someone have a problem with me listening to Stern. I actually know some church goers who listen to him. The governemnt doesn't always listen to the majority group, they listen to the loudest group.

    How'd I KNOW you'd comment on this?!?

I used to watch his show on cable... guess I got burned out cause it always seemed like the same ole topic... trying to get the female guests to take off their clothes.

I don't understand why people think that you can do anything or say anything on public airways.

And if you speak out against ANYTHING you are a religious freak who needs to quit trampling on everybody's rights.

    Give me a break.

the guy is going way too far, he wants to ban everything that he does not feel is morally correct, that is not what this country was founded on.

I am in agreement with Prince. If he keeps going the way he is going I am going to have to vote for Kerry.

I strongly feel that Bush is by far the lesser of two evils, Kerry being the other. Pepper's new sig hits the reason right on the head. At least with Bush you know where he stands on the issues and can choose to support him or not.

No one wants their freedom taken away. I like being able to listen to Howard Stern if I'm in the mood and turning it off when I'm not. I feel the same way with porn. Only I do feel that some of these "immoral" things are going way too far. I don't think it's right that I have to censor everything my 16 and 9 yr old see on the internet. IMO, protecting children from grotesque pictures of bestiality and sadomasochism is fundamentally more important the your "right" to look at it.

I don't mind big brother checking in on my activities because I don't believe that we will ever get to the point of everyone having micro chips implanted so that the government can keep tabs on us. And that's mainly because there are too many people that will continue to fight to keep us all from losing our constitutional freedoms.

First off, how can you say Kerry is the lesser of two evils, when he hasn't been in office yet. Bush is "Satanesque" by what he's done in office already, and that's a fact.

These "immoral" things you speak of....the internet??? First of all, the internet is not a U.S. made/run/controlled entity. It's worldwide, and ANYONE is free to use it as they please. If you dont want your child looking at porn, tell them so, and get some porn-blocker for your computer...yes, they work.

And Bush is infringing on people's rights with that Patriot act. We are slowly losing freedom every day Bush is in the office.

Howard Stern?? Are you kidding me? If you don't like it, TURN IT OFF.

With that said, Bush has been a disappointment to me for all of the reasons you are upset with him (except gay marriage, Bush is 100% right on that.) He has not done a bad job and at least he says what he means and means what he says.

I could not take another term of Clinton lies, spin and putting his finger in the wind before he states his position. Maybe Kerry will not be Clinton in the first two cases, but he will on the third and that is clear.

There should be no regulation of the internet, first of all it's worldwide, so how can any one country regulate it?

secondly, you have to pay for internet service correct? so it's your responsibility if you allow your kids access to the internet. you can purchase software to block porn sites and any other sites that are inappropriate for children's eye's, and it does work I have used them in my job when we had to build an internet cafe that was going to be used by the customers in our stores.

just the same if you pay for cable or satellite tv, it's your job to lock down the channels that you do not want your kids watching.

I do not need the government to regulate and/or ban these things, that is rediculous, that is taking away my freedoms as an adult in a country that was founded on freedom.

just the same I do not need the goverment banning things like ephedra, I am an adult if I want to use ephedra it's my choice. just like if I want to slowly kill myself with smoking and alcohol I am free to do that.

    Nixon still has supporters

This is great and very typical. I doubt that anyone here is partisan either way other than the bush supporters. I certainly am not. No one cares about Bill Clinton, he is old news. Clinton lied, but at least he gave the country a surplus. Do you think Bush could have cut taxes had he not come in with a surplus?
What is hilarious is that the Bush people say that they have done everything that the Clinton administration did to prevent terrorism. If this were the case 9/11 would have happened alot sooner.

Also, I don't really think Bush is a liar, he never promised to keep anyone's civil liberties intact. I also don't believe it is all his fault. But he nominated the people to the posts they hold so it is all on him. Also, I love how you Bush supporters all say the same thing, "At least we know where he stands." So by that logic, if he DID want to get rid of the Jews and firebomb Asia it would be fine, at least we know where he stands. To end, we must also consider that GW has had 4 years for people to form his opinions
    for him.

Stern was censored because he has been criticising Bush.
