Thumbs up Hellboy - not as bad as it looks!

Although the name is terrible (but unchangeable) the movie was pretty good - if you like that kind of fantasy comic book movie.

It had lots of action and even though lots of characters were shot and cut up, there wasn't much gore.

    Anyone else see it?

yeah, tit took me to see it last weekend and we both loved it. In fact I just heard her talking to a friend on the phone telling her that she really liked it. I'd never heard of hellboy and I remember when we first saw a preview for it we were like "Gah, what an ugly hero" but the movie is really cool. I love how laid back Hellboy is and how the movie never really takes itself too seriously like previous comic book conversions (Spider-man, the gawd awful Daredevil). It keeps you laughing and all of the fighing and actions scenes are fun to watch and entertaining, and often times down right jaw dropping. We give it:

been there done it G. I liked it too. Wasn't a great movie but I am a Rock fan so because of him, I liked it. Shallow? yea maybe but what the hell. That is what makes the world go round. I didn't expect to be seeing a possible Academy award winning movie just an action film and it met that standard. Cool film.

Hey Triple H is playing a villian in the next sequel for BLADE. Sounds like it will be pretty cool as well.

I saw Hellboy, it wasn't too bad, I liked it although some of the jokes were corny.

I don't know about HHH being any good as an actor, though. He seems to overact as it is in wrestling, I just don't see him making it. Did he sleep with the director's daughter to get the part?

Should be seeing Hellboy this week,

but does anybody else think they made a shitty decision for the guy playing the Punisher? I don't think he looks the part.

Yes, they need someone much larger. I thin they are trying to make some of the more popular comic book heroes more human with the exception of the Hulk. Makes no sense to me.

That's what I was thinking. Someone bigger and more butch looking. I'd be perfect

It's the guy from Highlander, isn't it? He's not a bad actor.

The Hulk should have never been made. I thought it was terrible.

I never saw the Hulk. The Punisher guy is not the o9n efrom highlander, he is pretty much just an unknown B movie actor.

You are correct. I saw the ad for it the other day, and both my wife and myself thought it looked alot like him.

Hollywood just seems to try and cash in on anything.

Good Comic book movies: X-men, Spiderman

Terrible Comic book movies: Hulk, Daredevil (They should shoot everyone involved in that one).

    I loved Spawn

I can't wait for another one. Hellboy looks like a superhero at least. I would almost call Daredevil a womans movie.

Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I thought the Dolph Lundren Punisher was an AWESOME flick!!! He looked the part more
But when you disarm them, you at once offend them by showing that you distrust them, either for cowardice or for want of loyalty, and either of these opinions breeds hatred against you.

Me too, and probably every other person that seen it.

I personally think they should have gotten Greg Kovaks to play the part. If you think about it he would have been a pretty damn good choice for Hulk.

Why, because of his inability to form complete sentences.

I thought the Hulk woulda been better if the Hulk wasn't so animated! It was to unrealistic looking and you couldn't relate to him the same way you could with the series.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

Nope, because I met him and he is freaking tall and massive. He damn near looks like the animated guy, you'd just have to paint him up and dye his hair black. It would have been a much better decision than that animated crap. What a piece of shit
