    U.S. Tax Day

Everyone get their taxes done and mailed???

My Dad does ours now that we have to report things that have to do with a little business my brothers and I started and with John going to school, etc.

We only had to pay $1800 this year!!! My Dad said it was because of the tax breaks Bush has done.

It's the lowest amount I've paid in 10 yrs!!!

    What about you guys???

Got 600 back from federal, last year I got twice that. One of my jobs only took out half what they should have to save themselves from having to pay payroll tax. Fukkers

I'm getting $400+ back, but its already spent on the restoration of a bamboo fly rod. I'm very good at spending money before I get it.

What took you so long. We've already got ours back and spent it.

This coming year's gonna suck though. Between my retirement, my new job and my wife's job we're ROLLING in it and I have a feeling that upper 1% Kerry wants to raise taxs on is US.

The goal is to not get a refund and to not pay...... A little tougher to not pay when you have a business though or are self-employed.

Butterfly - congrats, always nice to see that figure come down.

Sorry man, no offense intended. I honestly thought $400 for a fly rod was excessive. For an heirloom I can understand though.

You obviously dont flyfish. My 10 weight saltwater rod was $500+ ...not including the reel.

Fly rods are insanely expensive... but I'll tell you what, they treat you like royalty when you're in a nice fly shop

Theres one in my area and I stopped by and the guy took me out into the parking lot, left his store, and spent like 30 minutes with my practicing with the fly rod

Of course I couldnt afford one...

Very true. I think things are gonna change though. Seems like flyfishing is catching on with a broader spectrum of people. Used to be geared more towards the wealthy. Hopefully, the new trend will bring the equipment prices down a bit.

I hope so Var, I'd love to pick it up... but I could pay for a good chunk of my school big at the same cost as a decent fly rig right now. If it drops down in cost then perhaps the poor schmucks among us may get involved
