"""""""Yes. I just don´t know the excuse why U.S.A can keep nuclear weapons and other countries don´t.
I never heard about a U.N comission going to USA to search for weapons of mass destruction too"""""""""

Theres a few reasons for that Vie. #1, we wont let them. #2, We make no secret we have them, in fact we have many thousands of them and we can put them into a tennis court from over 6,000 miles away. Even better we have 18 submarines, each carrying 24 trident missiles, with each missile capable of delivering up to 12 independently targated warheads, that blow at 475kt "Hiroshima was 16 kt", and each of these missiles can hit a baseball infield from 6,000 miles away. In fact the subs dont even have to be at sea to launch due to the range of their missiles. Our sailors can be sitting on the deck, sipping margaritas, while berthed at Pearl Harbor, and launch a few at that deranged midget in North Korea if he threatens us.

And hes going to threaten us. While his people are starving, his children are burning, hes developeing and exporting both hardware and technology for advanced ICBMs and even nuclear weapon designs. NK and Iran are also working together to develope a space based launch vehicle that spins around the earth, loaded with nukes, waiting for the midget to dial a number on his cell phone. The midget already has nuclear weapons.

If America hadnt discovered and developed nuclear weapons what kind of free world do you think we'd have now? There wouldnt be one! Not that Brazils exactly "free" anyway but even "you" had an advanced nuclear weapons program at one time. Thats right, your various military juntas/Dictators were frustrated by American efforts to keep South America nuclear free so you allied with Germany in the '70s to advance your nuke program. By 1980 you had the capacity to build a bomb with two advanced designs ready to be constructed.

In 1981 Brazil shipped tons of Uranium to Iraq to help Saddam with his nuclear weapons program. Eventually Brazil and Argentina came to their senses and ended this mad nuke race. For the most part you got rid of your generals and dictators, and thanks to America, South America is nuclear weapons free now.

Now in answer to your statement about "only America allowed to have nuclear weapons". Here is a list of the countrys who have/have had nuclear weapons, this is mostly in order. 1, America-2, USSR/Russia-3, Great Britain-4, France-5, China-6,Israel,7-South Africa "voluntarily gave them up"-8,India-9,Pakistan-10, North Korea-soon to be 11, Iran.

So that answers that question. Now can you imagine shitholes like NK,Iran, a hostile Pakistan, developeing these weapons, exporting them, giving them to terrorists, putting them on advanced delivery systems ? BTW Russia still cant account for 100 nukes lost after the breakup of the Soviet Union. "Oh well"!

So thats the reason America has them my friend. We have them cause we "have to" have them. Weve always "had to", ever since 1945 when we first built them. And if you think this situation is scarey you should see the list of various shitholes that have advanced chemical/biological weapons programs and capabilitys. Type it into a search engine and see what bounces back at you. Personaly I have 1 months supply of MREs in my house, water, and a couple of years worth of ammo.

Americans hate these things more then anyone else does. Weve led the world in disarment initiatives and have voluntarily dismantled our chem/bio programs and stocks. If it wasnt for America and our courage to stand for the free world there wouldnt be a "free world", so have a little respect.

In ending I want to say that the proliferation of WMDs by rouge nations/terrorists is the greatest threat humankind has ever faced. Worse then smallpox, black death, conventional war, poverty, even friggin asteroids. If we dont stop it now our children will inherit a nightmare world. We have to stand now even if it means useing the things.............take care............Rich

It's an accurate statement that our current spending will not be increasing the debt We've stopped spending money that we don't have.

I'm sure they know. Some of them are in the hands of the smaller countries that were formed when the Soviet Union collasped. That is scary as you have some very unstable rulers in these countries and most of the world feels they are not in safe hands. Others ICBM's may have been sold to rouge nations(terroists)?? How did India and Pakistan all of a sudden develop nucs?

Well Kim anyway. I'm sure he has some loyal followers, but there are probably good people there also. Like others have stated, it is sad his military gets all the money and food and the rest of the nation is in poverty and is starving.
Just as we are learning in Iraq, it is necessary to maintain a certain amount of the past government to maintain a balance of power. If not it will be the same situation, just a different group with different ideals.

I just think that the worst thing today is not bad governments, terrorist are the main concern. They seem to be everywhere.
I never thought they would attack Spain.

Yeah... I wish Spain would have sent out some assassination teams to hunt terrorist groups rather than just sending their guys home.

It wouldnt bring the people back... but it would make there be less of a chance of it happening again.

Just my opinion, but Spain more or less sent the message to terrorist groups that the can influence an election in other countries.

I fully expect the US to be hit by another terrorist attack during the first two weeks of November.

"""""""What is it good for thousand of weapons if you can´t find the target? """"""""

Finding targets for nuclear weapons is easy. Its not like you have to hit them on the bullseye yaknow. You think American Sat's cant find citys, military bases,ICBMs,nuclear reactors, and Presidential palaces ? The current generation can look down and tell you when to start hair loss treaments.

Theres no way we will ever be able to secure our borders against terrorist attacks with WMDs. Folks that live in places like South America, France, Germany, and all other terrorist sympathizer nations have a much more benign view of this threat then do Americans and the British. Probably cause they arent targets, "ya think"? We dont need anyones "ok" to defend ourselves, and furthermore, who really gives a shit what they think anyways ? Will we ever learn the lessons of history concerning power mad Dictators?.................................Take care, and no insult to Vie............................................Ric h

The word on the street is that a number of very high up UN officials were making big time illegal money on the UN sponsored IRAQ oil for food program. It would explain a lot about why certain members of the UN didn't want us to stop things and bugger up their personal little business. I am so hopeing to get indictments and huge prison terms for those that did. So, it would appear that “their” job, for many anyways, is the same as all the other little irrelevant countries in the world. Namely, go to meetings at the expense of the US Taxpayer and whine about US influence and try to milk our GDP as fast as they possibly can before we stop the money flow. I say take away the dung pile and squash the unthankful worms.

Stickboy, I have to agree with you. Spain's wimpy and cowardly response is pathetic. The new Spanish administration had no chance to get into power on its own. By running for office on a contrarian socialist/pacifist platform they invited, and in a manner of speaking, proxied the devastation on his own country and people. History has show over and over again that you can not pacify these kinds of thugs since it will only escalate. This is why America is as great as it is today and the rest of the world is all but passed over. We have consistently stood up for principals when ever we could. Spain just demonstrated its true character in electing the current government and has once again at an important point in history proven itself unworthy to hold any significant world power responsibility. While this condition holds they will continue to be cursed to mediocrity and lower tier status.

DG - I would be for helping them if we could trust them. But we absolutely can not trust that lunatic in N. Korea. It had to be more than coincidental that they were transporting dynamite in the trains that got blown to hell. Given that over 80% of the GDP is spent on the military chances are that dynamite was not ever intended for peaceful purposes and could very well have been intended on things directly against our and the word's interests. It's all too coincidental. Given the supreme lunacy of the N. Korean dictator it would not even startle me to find out that he killed his own people in a staged accident to force world attention back to N. Korea and open dialog at a time that was convenient to him. The other possibilityis that some country's special ops guys (not gonna say whose) or revolutionaries blew the train up to take out the explosives.

Bottom Line: The dictator of N. Korea is a mortal enemy and would siphon off any aid to support his own regime. There is no pragmatic way to get aid to the people without him taking a big part of the money/aid.

The only problem that U.S needs to solve is this attitude issue that appeared a few years ago, "we rule the world", "we are the strongest", "we don´t obey what the U.N says", "we don´t care about what the rest of world thinks", this is not productive.

Easy Vie, re-read my post and see that most of my shot was at Germany and France. But you are right, we dont much care what the UN say's. The UN is nothing but a whorehouse on our shores stuffed with prostitutes and pimps. I personaly despise it ! For to many years its been an anti-American forumn full of shitty little dictatorships, theocracys, maniac little "presidents for life", commies, and other assorted tyrants, "Syria to run the Human Rights commision your kidding me right?"

In my opinion Vie Democracys shouldnt even be talking to these tyrants. Any country that has a tyrannical Govt. that doesnt answer to its people, that has a military and police that isnt asnswerable to its people, that doesnt have Human rights, shouldnt even be allowed to sit at the same table as Democracys. We "Democracys" should be bringing these Dictatorships to their knees to force them to give their people human rights. As far as Im concerned we out to bulldoze that shithole U.N. into the ocean and use it as an artificial fish reef.

And I'll tellya this. The U.N. is concerned with only one thing, and that is to increase and export its own power. Take a look at the Iraqi oil and food program and you'll see what Im talking about, but there are many other examples of what a shitbird organization it is. Koffi baby has one big stumbleing block before he can mount the Kingship of the World throne and that is control of the American Military. Thats what hes after, what he's always been after.

We are Independant minded in the U.S. because we have a Constitution that demands it. Thats what other countrys just cant understand is that the American Constitution is set in stone. Even many Americans dont appreciate or understand that.

Besides Vei, if it wasnt for the American taxpayer funding the place there wouldnt even be a UN . So its all relative eh?..........................Take care...............Rich

Ahh forgive my intensity. But I do truly despise the UN. Dont know John H so I wouldnt comment on him. I/We can keep everything civil, I dont get into flame wars, and actually I consider Vie a gentleman. I wasnt getting in your face, I was getting in the UN face. and sometimes I froth at the mouth over it.

We have troops in the field Vie, in battle, and 110% of my loyalty goes to them and my country. Not some shithole BLDNG/Organization that shouldnt be on American soil in the first place. I make no apology to that perverted anti-American World Global Collective called the UN.

But you right, I do have an attitude about it. Ive also been all over this world and been in more then a few countries where the masked secret police can kick your door in at 0300, drag you away, and maybe you'll be heard from again. I am a policeman and when I hear some of these UN mongrels, human rights commisions, that moron Nobel society, or the UN's pet tyrant mouthpieces, even compare American with places like that I want to wretch.

The bottom line is the UN has NEVER came close to honoring its charter without the blood of American kids, and the money of American taxpayers, being on the front line. We fianance over 50% of it. And now we get to watch the collective shake with glee with every new American kid killed in Iraq, while what miniscule UN presence was there cut and ran with the first gunshots. They cant seem to understand the American public will NEVER allow our troops to be commanded by some Blue Helmuted UN clown.

Well........ Im frothing again............Take care of yourself.......................Rich

    I too hate the UN.

Time for the US to get out of the UN and the UN to get out of the US.

I agree with much of what Rich says. Fact is, the UN is only around because of US blood and money. Why these other piss ant countries think they can tell us what to do, I'll never know.

Perhaps it's because we choose to treat them as equals. Then again, they DO relish any problems we may have.

If I had my way, there wouldn't be a friggin penny leaving this country to help others. No troops either.

How do I sign up to run the bulldozer?
