Thread: Using Your First & Last Name as Your Username?

well once I'm jacked enough, i'd like some female stalkers, so I'm down for this.

I think it's cool to go by your real name which ever you choose but I wouldn't use my full name.

I'm still havin' fun!!

First name by all means. Prince probably did his since he owns the site and what not so its easy to find out anyways... and so he can stop dealing with people saying "well where are your pics Prince?"... as to anybody else, I wouldnt recommend last names still. We are a friendly group I'd like to think... but this is still the internet

Yeah I can see how people would be hesitant because of stalkers. What kind of world do we live in, lol?

My name is all over the net anyway, my bio on IM, on my articles, my Q & A, my domain names, other sites, etc., etc.

I now have my bio and a couple of articles at Bodybuilding.com, so it just made sense for me.

Besides, i think its nice to be able to share your "name" with people through pm or whatever once you trust them. It's like an personal extension of friendship when you pm someone and can end it by, "Oh, by the way my name is ____."

I agree rock. And very few people have I gotten to that point yet. Not always out of lack of trust, but sometimes, the less someone knows about you, the better for them too.

Yeah, you could look at it that way. For example... none of us right now want to know that you're wearing a pink tutu, have a weeks facial hair growth, and are smoking a cigar.

Yea, I would disclose my real name if it came to someone I talked to often and knew well. But when it comes to the net.. all ppl need is your last name and roughly where you live and they can find your phone number or address.. Sorry, but I dont want IT or Allboobies showin up on my front door lol.

Well I agree with everyone that's been talking about giving out too much info like first and last names to people you dont know. And oddly enough, just "Julian" is taken as a user name. Go figure. Besides, my call name and the fact that Im here says it all. Im a heavy metal guitar player, I play only V shaped guitars, and I like working out. S'all anyone needs to know to begin chattin with me if they want.

... I'm with you Robert. Let'em call ... I don't answer the phone anyways unless I know someone is going to call. If someone calls just to call, they better call before 8:30 and hope that I answer ... and we dont' have an answering machine, so that isn't an issue.

You wouldn't believe the number of times I've heard that from friends ...

i'm even worse - i shut the ringer off for no good reason 'cept that it annoys me.

now ... if there were more hotties calling, I might be persuaded to answer the phone every now and then.

I disagree with the last name part. You never know who you might get into arguements with and that person may be a real freak. If they decided to really piss you off then they could use your last name to call you at 3am or send you a dead rat. Never know, could happen.
