I am not planning on becoming a "day trader", I might purchase some Google stock when it goes public, so I figured I would open an online account at one of those places to buy it.
^ Sorry. That was an assumption, and they are usually wrong.
Google should do you well.

that's what I was thinking.
I have been looking for somewhere to sink some money, i.e. a business, Google stock might be a good place to put it!

I started on Etrade...it's a good place to learn about online trading if you aren't going to be making a lot of transactions per month. check out some other though, you have plenty of time since it will be several months until Google goes public...
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

I use Fidelty only because I have other accounts with them so it's like a "one stop shop" for me. I definetly have zero complaints about them...great customer service

Most of them have a gimick, either low trade $ or "gauranteed" 2 minutes or less trades things like that.
Someone like Schwab would offer high service, but also high fees.

I like Ameritrade. Daytrading is risky.

Ive been with them for a while, and know some people down there. $50 isn't that bad, I usually don't make small trades.
Trade Freedom!! My honey is a Day Trader with his own money and he does very well... but you need the second level screen to know what your best guess is.
