Gr1 ... the bunny ranch isn't that great ... been there, done that. The girls were pretty scary when we went. You're better off hanging at the strip clubs ... which we'll do more of. Might as well follow the same pattern we do there as we do at home. Hit the strip club as a pre-club warmup ... then tear apart some club ... then eat breakfast and slowly ramp down and then up for the next night.

For those buying tickets to the events, we had row F last year and it was quite a ways back from the stage. Just for your information ...

VIP are the seats to have, but all in all, not worth the 600.00. I didn't even go to half the stuff I paid for. lol Again, the seats were sweet though.

I doubt we'll go with the new baby and all. BUT, we do have a timeshare there and since we won't be able to use it this year we'd be willing to let some of you guys use it. Cost would be $150 for a sleep 6 unit for one week and whatever the transfer fee is, maybe $25. Here's more info on the property http://www.consolidatedresorts.com/property_tahiti.asp

Fade and I stayed at the Luxor last year and really liked it. Club RA is there and turned out to be a great dance club.

We did a package deal which included airfare and hotel through expedia.com -- got a really good price!

The timeshare sleeps 6 people so a bunch of you could go in together... just a thought.

Check the round trip prices originating from Baltimore, they're usually cheaper than Newark or Philly. By the time you add in gas and parking you can still save some $$$.

definetly...flying from BWI to Vegas usually runs about $200-250. Southwest has also just started running direct flights from Philly to Vegas and are adding more as time goes by. those flights are pretty much in the same range as flying out of BWI to Vegas..

I'm thinking about going, but haven't looked at the calendar yet to see if we get a fall break or not - usually they schedule one during Halloween week.

My little sister has a condo there - and is a dancer....(down, Flex...not THAT kind of dancer...hehehe...'sides, she's 29...far too old for a college boy who is goin' just to tell Ronnie his reign is nearly up)...

I wonder if the whole weekend package (admission to all the events, VIP seating, etc.) is gonna stay at that $600 range - if I get thru my exams, I could pitch a feature story that might help pay most of my expenses.

Is the Mandalay Bay pretty pricey that weekend? Since it holds most of the events and the Expo, those rooms must go for some pretty big bucks.

The Mandalay Bay is ALWAYS expensive. You don't have to stay there though, no matter where you stay it's pretty easy to get around town. Go for price.

Well heck...then I could just make my sister put me up. . .though I'm not sure what part of the city she's at...except she works on the Strip so it must not be too bad of a commute. I haven't been out there for years, though - isn't the traffic going to hell?

Yeah, traffic can be pretty bad, but it all depends on where you're coming from, where you're going to and what time of day you're traveling. If you've got a sister here and she'll put you up for free, take the $$$ you save and use it for taxis. The taxi system in this town is GREAT. All you need is to get from her house to the strip and back, you can walk pretty much anywhere once you're on the strip.

We stayed at the Excaliber (about $50/night) for half the week and the Luxor for the remaining part of the week. Our take on the two hotels was that the Luxor (about $110/night) was twice as much and didn't provide twice and amenities. Now, you have to take that with a grain of salt. The hotel was only a place to rest our heads, shower and keeping our luggage safe. Both hotels had casinos, both had places to eat and both provided access to strip. We also had to stay off the strip due to fires keeping LAX from being accessible and paid more than the Excaliber and the strip wasn't nearly as accessible (had to cab), they didn't have a casino and there was only one place to eat.
    Just our 2 cents.
