Van Helsing the new movie was "DAMN GOOD!"

Last night with a few buddies I saw the new movie Van Helsing & it was damn good.

Amazing special effects, good story & humor at the right time.
The music by composer Alan Silvestri was very good as well.

Some ppl & stupid critics think the movie is too overwhelming & that there are too many characters. Well you have many horror characters in the film such as Dracula & Frankenstein & Egor. But it's all good. It makes it more interesting.

I givethis movie an 11 out of 10. It's probably the best movie I've seen this year. Plus Jugh Jackman (Wolverine from X-Men) was great as well.

    Comments anyone?

Siskel and Flex give that movie up

I agree completely bro. that movie was AWESOME. I'm a sucker for action/adventure/special effect flicks....so, with all the awesome characters and not to mention possibly the hottest chick i've EVER seen, that fits right up my alley.

It was basically non-stop adventure combined with an awesome story.....great flick.
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

    Totally agree %100.

I'm definetly going to buy this DVD when it comes out. I just hope it's under $30 but since it's new it probably won't be much less than this price.

I can't wait to see King Arthur by Jerry Bruckheimer who did both CSI's, the Bad Boy movies, Top Gun/Navy Seals, & the Beverly Hills Cop Trilogy with producer Don Simpson who had passed away. Bruckheimer & Don Simpson worked together on many films.

    Van Helsing rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to see this bad
Ive actually watched the Anime series called
    Hellsing

they are different in a lot of aspects but
a lot of parts are the same

I think it will be totally awesome
so i want to go see it with my friend Will

Who loves these types of movies/ animes and stuff
    too

but he said it looks kinda dumb with frankenstein and all....

And he thinks it will be white-trashey lol
he thought hellboy was white trash (the main char.)

Well im going to go see it
But i dont have enough money
But we always always sneak in
    or dont pay some how

but i think the old story we always use on the guy tearing tickets is getting old so...

Agree with everybody. But having Frankenstein in the film was cool.

This was still one of the best movies I've seen this year.

That movie was stupid. The girl was really hot. But the plot was pretty fucked up and too complicated at the end, and it was way to far fetched. I hate when they milk things that bad, like with the cure being tossed mid-air and such. Just cheesy. But the effects were cool and the girl was hot.
    back for the first time....

I thought it was a great action movie, but was hoping for more of a plot. BTW did they ever explain how Van Helsing lived for hundreds of years. I thought he was a normal dude until the wolf bit him.

I don't care what anyone says, this movie kicked ass & most ppl I know who've seen it believe the same thing.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but my opinion stands. This is by far the best movie I've seen all year.

odin52 they did explain it, but I couldn't hear the whole part as I had a phone call (on silent not to be rude of course) that I took near the entrance doors.

A few other friends of mine want to see it again so I will probably go with them.

Yes I agree that there were a lot of characters & lots happening, but it was a damn good movie.

& the music score by the great Alan Silvestri (did the Predator movie music with other big films to) was also amazing. & the special effects kicked ass.

Too bad you don't go to theatres, you're missing out on alot of fun. You bring your woman &/or friends & have a fun evening & just hang out.

As for why he lived so long, like I said I had to take a phone call & I missed that part. But when he was about to fight Dracula at the end of the movie he was telling Van Helsing about the encounters that they had a long time ago & he couldn't remember any of it nor did he want to.

I didn't get that either...One other thing too, In the end The girl is swinging on the cables like jane from tarzan (catching werewolf serum and doing backflips) and shes just a regular old human. And how did she die? Did van helsing just knock her the F#CK out?

First off I went to see it last night

    I loved it!

    Second off, Flex is right
He is the right hand of God
Not only that, but he was the one who killed the human form of Dracula
So i believe that he was some how related to the whole family of that woman

    Anyway the Effects were awesome
and i loved the Werewolf and Transformed dracula forms
    they looked so tightass

and they were believable looking too
You people analyze it too much (the people that didnt like it)

Who cares about some of those things, why dont you just watch it for what it is?

And That girl could do that b/c she was a great athlete
and she was part of the cursed family

There are woman in the world that could easily do the flips and stuff she was doing

Yeah I know what you mean bro, it is a lot of fun. But for some reason, everytime I step out to a theater, it just seems that its MY luck that the idiots with the loud cell phones, the moms with crying babies, and the teenagers with their groups of like minded idiots who scream and holler at the screen show up. Not to mention the gang members. Im not afraid of any of them if Im alone or with some male friends and Ive had somem scuffles here and there. But those idiots pack guns in their cars, and I just dont like putting my girl in that kind of jeopardy even if I dont say anything back to their ignorant asses.

myCATpowerlifts I totally agree with you %100.

Metal V Player I just try to ignore the jabronis in the theatres. There aren't many gang members at the movie theatres in here in Montreal, but when I go back to Toronto to visit friends & relatives there are gang members who smoke weed outside. But these theatres like Colossal & Siver City have police & extra security & they have security ppl telling viewers to turn their cell phones off or they'll be kicked out. Much better.

Oh I hear ya. I actually make no effort to get in their way. But sometimes its them who start shiet just to be starting it. And for some reason there's not a lot of security on a permenant basis here on all the theaters like you have up there. The police come for a few days, then as soon as it chills, they rotate to another theater. But even so, like I said, Im just not possessed of absolute patience for people that ruin the movie going experience. I dont start shiet with people, but I do end up with a ruined night.

Ive seen more trailers on it today and my cousin just went to see it too. Same verdict, DAYAM GOOD. I think its a hell of a story line myself.

Oh hell yeah. Ive gotten some to back down in the restrooms before when they were there alone by chance. But when we get outside, there they are with their "homies". It can make for an interesting evening if Im alone or with friends. But not when Im with my lady.

Metal V Player well it sounds like Dallas's movie theatres are pretty f$cked up now a days. Sorry to hear that. In Montreal we don't really have a problem or security/police like in Toronto. They seem to have more jabroni gangs.

I see some jabroni kids though when I go to any movie theatre but that is to be expected. These jabroni's don't bother anyone around here luckily. They hang out with their friends & have their girls around & that's about it. Nothing violent or anything.

If you went to the movies & really stayed out of the jabroni's way & ignore them, you don't think you'd be able to enjoy yourself at the movie? You're missing a lot of this movie especially on the big screen.

It is and it isnt. Its not near as bad as it used to be. But like I said, I just seem to have that..."luck" when I go out.

Oh Im sure I can. Gee, I hate to make it sound like its like this all the time, LOL. Its not. I just have bad luck. But like I keep saying, I just dont possess the patience for the other people: people that cant take a cell call at the door like you did, people with their bratty kids, people that HAVE to scream and holler at the screen, people who are just generaly inconsiderate of others. You know...general punks. I went to see Last Samurai at the theater and that was a pretty good experience. Of course I went on a weeknight at the last showing when there was hardly any ounks there. I may have to do that with this movie.

As for cell phones the security tells ppl to put their phones on silent or off or they'll be kicked out. I put mine on silent & went to the door & whispered so I couldn't be heard.

Most of the movies I go don't have bratty kids in the movie even on a Friday night. The theatre was packed & ppl were generally good even the teenagers. When we're there & we do see ppl that look like trouble making kids, we just laugh at amongst ourselves. In Montreal you hardly ever have problems.

"League" had SO much potential and sucked SO bad. It was sad. But I DID enjoy the characterization of Mina Harker.

Metal V Player I agree this movie was horrible. If Sean Connery wasn't in the film, it would've sucked a$$ even more.

Larva yeah the Hyde used in this film was pretty cool.

Connery has had a terrible string of luck in the past few years with bad movies. Thats a shame, but he does make whatever movie he's in more watchable. He made Highlander, in my humble opinion. Still....LXG is not on my Christmas list.

You guys know that Connery was up for the role of Blackthorne in the mini-series Shogun? Jesus I wonder how that would have played out. Shogun was the best mini-series ever in my humble opinion.

Let's not forget Indianna Jones & The Last Crusade. The word is that a 4th Indianna Jones is already being worked on or done, I can't remember what they said. & Sean Connery will be in it.

Next week I'm going to see Van Helsing again with a few other friends who want me to go. I can't wait. I'm %100 going to buy this movie when it's out on DVD.

Of course. But I still have no idea when it will be released.

As for Van Helsing did any of you know that before X-Men(& 2), Jugh Jackman (Van Helsing) is a broadway actor? He's great. He looks like he gained more size with shape since X-Men 2.

Personally I see a sequal to Van Helsing. I don't know how as many of the horror characters were killed, but Frankenstein lives on as does Van Helsing.
