If god were suddenly condemned to live the life which he has inflicted on man, he would kill himself.
- Alexander Dumas (1802 - 1870)
Dale your opinion, one thing to remember -our judicial system says "innocent till proven guilty" I believe Dale you would want the same. Also bear in mind there's three sides to the truth.
...and that there are pictures of this woman posing with the inmates in a degrading manner...

Yes and she should be executed putting that leash around an inmates neck.
Against the law is against the law. Never said she should be executed. Some people steal because they need to, doesn't make it right.

Why is it that only a woman was caught on camera or are there pictures of guys too, and if so are they being charged? I think there is a much bigger picture we should be looking at, not just her errors.

Yes, there were men and they all are being charged. Read the article, her lawyer is trying to get her off on a technicality.

They are just focusing on her b/c she is such a hottie.
If that lawyer wins - all people will see is a good lawyer
The crime will be forgotten and he will get more clients

her lawyer is an idiot...the same rules regarding the questioning of civilians do not apply to people in the military..Originally posted by Dale Mabry

This is the one I offered to cap for free but I have a better idea. Give her to some " Muslim extremists between the ages of 17 and 40."

You think putting a leash on an inmate is worth of that punishment?
Quote "Do unto others as you would have them do to you."
Ouch that could hurt. It sure makes me think about what I do to others! - well most of the time at least...

Yes I think she needs to die. She disgraced our Country, our Military, and endagered the lives of countless Americans. How are people going to treat captured Americans now.? She volunteered to follow a higher standard when she joined the military. She is scum her smile said that plain and clear she was enjoying abusing those men. Enjoying acting in direct opposition to the Geneva Convention... No soldier can be punished for refusing to following orders that are that far from human decency.

ere you go. In case anyone wants to argue about why we are in Iraq.
* * *
As I head off to Baghdad for the final weeks of my stay in Iraq, I wanted to say thanks to all of you who did not believe the media. They have done a very poor job of covering everything that has happened. I am sorry that I have not been able to visit all of you during my two week leave back home. And just so you can rest at night knowing something is happening in Iraq that is noteworthy, I thought I would pass this on to you. This is the list of things that has happened in Iraq recently: (Please share it with your friends and compare it to the version that your paper is producing)
-Over 4.5 million people have clean drinking water for the first time ever in Iraq.
-Over 400,000 kids have up to date immunizations.
-Over 1500 schools have been renovated and ridded of the weapons that were stored there so education can occur.
-The port of Uhm Qasar was renovated so grain can be off loaded from ships faster.
-School attendance is up 80% from levels before the war.
-The country had it's first 2 billion barrel export of oil in August.
-The country now receives 2 times the electrical power it did before the war.
-100% of the hospitals are open and fully staffed compared to 35% before the war.
-Elections are taking place in every major city and city councils are in place.
-Sewer and water lines are installed in every major city.
-Over 60,000 police are patrolling the streets.
-Over 100,000 Iraqi civil defense police are securing the country.
-Over 80,000 Iraqi soldiers are patrolling the streets side by side with US soldiers.
-Over 400,000 people have telephones for the first time ever.
-Students are taught field sanitation and hand washing techniques to prevent the spread of germs.
-An interim constitution has been signed.
-Girls are allowed to attend school for the first time ever in Iraq.
-Text books that don't mention Saddam are in the schools for the first time in 30 years.
Don't believe for one second that these people do not want us there. I have met many many people from Iraq that want us there and in a bad way. They say they will never see the freedoms we talk about but they hope their children will. We are doing a good job in Iraq and I challenge anyone, anywhere to dispute me on these facts. So If you happen to run into John Kerry, be sure to give him my email address and send him to Denison, Iowa. This soldier will set him straight. If you are like me and very disgusted with how this period of rebuilding has been portrayed, email this to a friend and let them know there are good things happening.
I also want to say, I do not condone any of the sexual crap going over there, but degradation!! That is textbook interrogation stuff here, come on.....
Also, the above paragraph, I did not write, however, received in an e-mail, and am not sure of any of the numbers...

sorry it was a chemical light and a broomstick.. just look up news stories about Abu Ghraib you'll find it. I'll post the link here shortly. The good stuff goin on over there is amazing and makes me proud. There is no excuse nor should attempts be made to excuse the American soldiers over there that are acting like animals.

I think the point is, is that worth death?Originally posted by rockgazer69

You guys are nuts if you think a little humilation is worth that kind of punishment. Punish them, yes, but let's have some sense of proportion.
Now, if we treated their captives like they treated ours, you might be more correct.

The Uniform Code of Military Justice calls for the death penalty if a man excuse me a soldier it's not a civilian code rapes a woman so yes.
Don't look back ~ You're not going that way!

If someone came into your home and did that to you or your child would you be singing this leniancy crap? These are American soldiers, not frat boys. Who in the world has more fucking power than us and we use it this way? Stick a chemical light in my ass and TRY getting out of my house alive.

What is the movie where a little black girl is raped, beaten with a rock, urinated on and then murdered and the big dramatic climax of the movie is when her lawyer makes everyone close their eyes, vizualize what happened to her and then he says " Now imagine she were white."
I have often wondered what our response would be if one of our neighbors removed his young daughters clitoris and most of her outer vagina with a pair of dull scissors and then sewed her shut.
Are we not sensing the full horror of what happened to those men because they are in our eyes somehow less than us? That is bullshit. Do unto others is right.
