    When to eat.

Okay, my brothe who is overweight by around 20-30 lb I'd say is going on a strict diet. It's the first time I've ever seen him so dedicated. He's been in football at school the past couple years, and he's coming to highschool now and he's been lifting hard and training smart for a couple weeks ( he worked out in middle school but the coaches were morons. ) Since he's going to play highschool football he wants to get lean. Back on subject now. He's changed his diet. He eats relatively healthy ( i.e. no junk food, chips, soday, candy, etc ect ) but all his life he has stuffed himself. Well, when I explained that he should just eat until he's full he gave me a confused look. See he used to snack so much he honestly did not know when he was full and when he was hungry. By snack I mean junkfood. Now around 3 weeks into his diet his going strong, and now he knows when he's hungry. But he still tells me has trouble knowing when he was full. Is this common? Something to worry about? And do you think it will go away in time just like not knowing when he was hungry did.

I never feel full either. When I am bulking it is easy for me to pack in over 5000cals if i don't be careful. I just try and count my cals and slowly increase to a level were I am comfortably gaining weight and stay with that until I need to make some sort of change. there is no reason to pund down all that food and just gain fat.

it doesnt sound serious to me. if he is so dedicated, cutting down his portion sizes should not be a problem. also, it takes a little while for your body to realize its full so he should eat slower ..... imo
