    Obesity-The Question

Are more and more people fatter than in the past?
Or are we just stretching the spectrum?
I see more and more folks looking really good, I mean better than a few decades ago. Does not the pendulum swing an equal distance in both directions?
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

fat/obese people aren't going to spend a lot of money to go to the beach...
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

no, obesity is increasing due to people's shitty diets (fast food), full of saturated fat and sugars.

i think society puts pressure on us to look a certain way such as in movies ..... fit, trim, muscular, sexy, etc ..... i think some of us have the discipline to take care of our bodies and "fit the image." i think there are many that dont have the discipline, fall into depression, and obesity takes over ..... imo
