Save it as anything then rename the extension later. The file still is intact.
For some odd reason anytime I try to save a picture onto my computer off the internet is only wants to save it as an art or bmp file?? The original image is normally a jpg.
Are there settings somewhere that I need to look at?? This may have all started when I installed Adobe Photoshop.

Huh?????? It only gives me those two options to save as... you know right ckick save picture as... what just type .jpg on the end of the file name???

Yes, just type .jpg onto the name after you have saved it. It should still work fine.

this has to do with what you check off as what type files you want to associate with programs like photo programs or Irfanview they will then convert files you choose to associate to what they use. go back into these programs n change your settings. At cnet you can download free file conversion programs that r really simple to use to change one type of file to the type you want.
