Ive been avoiding this forumn so much I havnt even seen this thread. I'll agree to "chill out" a little but but nobody is going to demonize,villify,marginalize, or otherwise insult the sacrafices the young men and woman of our military are making for us. Not around me they arent, and they WILL get a reaction from me................................Rich

So I'm from Maine and like to fish for native trout up on Mt. Katahdin in the little ponds that have never been stocked. Spring up here is those pink meated tasty trout with fresh fiddleheads, a wild fern that is abundant up here.
Do you hunt too or just fish?

My parents put in for Moose permits for 20 years n the last few years have got 3 moose. yuk but I love venison.

Is there any thing else to do in Maine besides hunting and fishing?

yes but i'm not into drugs. lol. Well there is a lot of places to swim, camp, kayak, canoe, whitewater rafting, mountainbiking, hiking, it's a great place for photographers, sailing, snowmobiling, skiing, and we do have towns n cities so theres that socializing thing. I forgot 4 wheelering n dirtbikes... I am surprised we have so many couch potato types.
The best things are the ones that get you out in nature but bring bug dope n no that ain't drugs 4 bugs.

Ive taken several moose in my day. The last one was from Newfoundland, a young bull moose that had grazed on blueberries. He was delicious. Of all the animals Ive taken the African Eland was probably the best tasteing. Even better then corn fed venison.............take care........Rich

Wow. My daughter is 12 n she hunts already putting in for moose permits she likes the meat. My mom still makes the old fashioned mincemeat . Tesla shot her first birds this year too. Me I'd like to go to Alaska n do some fishing. You've had an interesting life just from what you've said here. I for 1 would like to hear some of your stories bet you have some good ones.

I personally don't ever demonize or disrespect the soldiers, I go higher up for that and address the gov who is responsoible for soldiers being there in teh first place. I have the utmost respect for the soldiers that are fighting, I don't have to agree with why they are there do I? what is wrong with voicing that opinion? Fucc the gov...

Yah, so I used to have a neighbour that hunted in the winter up here in Ontario. One time he caught a big focker and hung him upside down in his backyard off a tree.. Ugh, I cringe everytime I think about it.

I'm divorced n my exes generously agreed between the 3 of them to support me n my kids (my 3rd hubby is their dad) so I can raise my kids. I worked at a daycare in college it is no place for a child. I'm dying to go back to work but Ty is only 6 so it'll be awhile.
