    those are posing trunks.

how else are you supposed to show your physique?

a thong is what chicks wear, it is a string up the ass.

Posing trunks, thongs, it seems to be the same to me.

I think larger trunks would not compromise muscles groups judgment if they are tight enough. Something made from the same material of bench shirts. Of course you would be sterile for a while after each competition.

that is not a thong, Ronnie just has his suit pulled up his crack in that shot.

i do know that Flex Wheeler wasn't sure if he wanted to compete before his first contest b/c he didn't want to wear a posing suit on stage....

but i can't see anyway around it. it doesn't seem all the "manly" but i can't think of anything else you could wear that would show all of the muscle groups. the short type thing ya mentioned wouldn't show the hamstring/glute tie in.

Before my first contest, I remember being a little freaked out when my posing trunks came mail order and I first pulled them out of the box. I felt like I was holding womens underwear...only I was going to be putting them on.

Now, I guess I see things differently. I don't even think twice about it.

    This is another classic!!!
But when you disarm them, you at once offend them by showing that you distrust them, either for cowardice or for want of loyalty, and either of these opinions breeds hatred against you.

LOL. I remember thinking the same things years ago man. I was trying them on in the back room at Clarence Bass's(author of Ripped) office. I walked out and said "Damn, are you sure these fit". He just laughed and said, "First Show eh?" LMAO I was a little worried as a teen, but ya get over it pretty quick. Now that I'm much older, I'd prolly find something else to worry about. lol
