Call me a freak but, I've never read any of those books or seen any of the movies. I'd probably know Sean Astin if I saw him though.

Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???

"Das Boot","The Boat", was the greatest war movie I ever saw. 2nd was probably "All quite on the Western Front", which was a fascinateing study on film of war. Particularly considering when it was made. I dont like movies that glorify war.............take care.............Rich

Did you ever see the movie called Rudy about the University of Notre Dame? He wanted to play football there & he was probably too small. Sean Astin played Rudy, Sean Astin was also in the movie about the caveman played by Brendan Frasier called Encino Man along with Pauly Shore. Sean Astin was also in one of my favorite kid movies The Goonies as a kid. He played the yougner brother.

My father loves Das Boot as he loves war ships.

In the Army Now with Pauly Shore. Shows that even the most insignificant soldiers can make a difference in combat. Plus it depicts a newer age of war with laser painting and cool dune-buggies.

I actually liked that movie even knowing how some ppl feel about Pauly Shore. I think that he can be funny & annoying, but the annoying stuff is usually funny.

But yeah the new age of war is using the laser painting & dune buggies.

Maniclion did you see the new Memorial Day Saving Private Ryan? What did you think?

No way, I spent Memorial Day walking along the beach and thinking about all of the people I lost in my life, not just the soldiers. Then I 'qued the chix that I soaked in beer all day and ate a hearty meal. After that I went and erected a sticky brown monument to all those who have made it to my "shit list". I saw the movie once, I liked parts of it.
