My Uncle was in a rehab center here in Sundance. When he was leaving Mary Kate was arriving, so I have known for 2 weeks now

I read it. It's not very surprising, but still very sad
They live under huge pressure and have all their lives by growing up the way they did. Having an identical twin to compare/compete with is probably not the easiest thing either. I hope she will recover quickly, but eating disorders are a tricky tricky thing to beat..

Sad. Let's remmber that of all the psychiatric diagnoses, (with the exception of bipolar depression) this has the highest mortality. I am not surprised. Most anorexics are usually very successful, type A, compulsive people. It is the ulitimate form of controlling your environment. I wouldn't be surprised if she is also the main impetus and force behind their multimillion dollar empire. As a twin myself, I also know of the competition that exists and how one has to learn to take a back seat to a shining twin or learn to surge forward without feeling guilty. (My twin is a CEO, perfect SAT scores, IQ of 180 etc. etc. barf barf barf )
