    ooooooooooooooh, a tatoooooooooooooooo!

I thought you were making some poorly written porny remark about your hand and a twat- followed by a standard response of "who doesn't?"

in that case, if it must go in the palm of your hand, I suggest a TV remote control, so you'll never lose it

First off how old are you? Getting a Tat on the forearm or hand changes your life forever man! I've got 7 tats and love them all but I can cover them all up without being uncomfortable too. Do you have any tat's yet?

Seriously buddy, at 16 don't go the forearm or hand route. If you really want a tat go for the bi's or back. It won't be your only tattoo I'm sure, but wait till your older for the bold forearm tat

I agree with rock completely, wait a couple years, at least til college, getting tatoo on your hand or forearm makes it very hard to cover, and having visible tats will make you ineligible for certain jobs down the line.

If your parents let you, do what you will. I don't think that by the time you start a career anyone will care anymore if you have a tat or not. One on the palm is fine as long as it's a positive image, if it's a swastika or some satanic symbol then I could see it reflecting on your character badly. I have a friend with a back piece extending up both sides of his neck, he doesn't plan on working in a corporate environment so he doesn't care.

Viewed upside down when shaking hands it could look like a pentagram and give the wrong impression, unless that's what you are trying to express.

If you get it on the palm of your hand, I can just see the regret later in life.

I have 6 tats 1 of which is the Superman insignia on my right arm.

If this is your first tattoo I would definately recommend getting it in an inconspicuous place. Then if you like it you can move on to more visible body parts. I would think the forearm thing through completely. You have a lot of years left and you have no idea what you will be doing in 10 15 or 20 years. When getting a tat you must consider the future. Getting a tat on your hand is stupid. It wont hold up. Any part of the body that gets used that much will never hold ink. It will look like shit in a very short time.

Think about a tattoo for atleast 2 years before you get one. Once you got, it's yours--for life.

I have a small panther on my right should I got with a friend of mine in 1991.

    I always wanted one.

Don't ever kid yourself into thinking that you will pay for the laser treatment later in life...you probably won't.

Forearm or palm of your hand? You will life with the stereotypte forever.

I am not saying that stereotyping is good. But it is reality.

Let us know what you decide.

There are cosmetics that can hide tattoos. They were originally developed for people with scars and those big strawberry birthmarks on their faces. They work, don't come off on your clothes. D.J., The Rock, covers his tribal for film and it is enormous so a minor one could be hidden very easily for situations such as work.

ok bud heres my story. my first tat was on my back of 3 kanji symbols meaning wisdom, dream, angel. then a year later i got eternaty power, and devil right next to it. 2 years after that i got it covered up with a hannya mask then this year i got another tat the one thas in my avatar and got it colored like a few weeks ago. so def think about what your doing, mine are on my back so no one really know i have one unless my shirt is a tad translucent. plus , i am just now thinking about going onto my arms but , i am full aware that if i do i might never be able to wear short sleeve shirts again to work. just think about it and what you want to do in life, before you go getting tattooed. oh here is a warning. you can't just get one
