Total health? Sorry John but remember he just had his kidneys removed and isn't looking too huge nowdays without the juice.
I did not know that but I did read the book he wrote about himself and thought he made some very MAJOR MISTAKES in his life and living.
I was referring to the health his body shows that is possible for someone who SINCERELY wants to achieve their very best but DO THAT in a sensible and sane manner. To me a person who BUILDS their body also takes damn good care of it and respects it and others and understands what he is achieving and why and that TOTAL HEALTH is a many faceted thing. Flex driving like crazy in his car and wrecking it and almost killing himself is not a way to show to HIMSELF he understands the importance of his life, his total health and his happiness. And this is just one example. I would have thought he would have learned from THAT experience at least...
The man had an incredible body he worked for but apparently he did not understand the whole picture because I feel he has abused his health - not just physical. It is ironic that he would work so hard to achieve such beautiful and complete muscularity and risk all that. He shows what a Man can achieve but he also shows by his life and his actions in his life how it can be totally desroyed in a heartbeat. When I read his book I was very proud for him for what he did sanely to achieve his beauty but I was angry at him for the stupid things he did - I hope he will wake up some day before it is too late and see what he is risking. And I do not JUST mean his physical achievements.
that total health comment had to be sarcastic irony.
some people do equate health with competitive bodybuilding or at least sometimes put those words in the same sentence. it could be, but rarely is.
I was trying to give a man credit for working hard to achieve - any man - and a man that really knows the whole picture about building his body for his TOTAL health which is beyond JUST the physical.
In bodybuilding - to be done right and to succeed - you MUST have proper nutrition, proper rest, and proper exercises done VERY WELL and with concentration and dedication - this is how a man achieves. He stays focused and sticks with it and WORKS HARD. But he also knows there is much more to his health for it to be TOTAL. He must also respect himself. Flex has made some life-threatening mistakes and I would hope he would learn real fast from them before he ends up ending his life - a life that COULD BE truly incredible - if he will just figure out where he is going wrong and correct it. Certainly he knows about building his body physically but he apparently does not equate some of his practices with the destruction of himself. I sincerely hope he will straighten himself out real quick and appreciate HIMSELF what he has done to physically make himself great and make the rest of himself and his life equally as great. He CAN do that if he really wants to....
