I dont like to listen to music during workouts, but before workouts I like Pantera, Biohazard, Sepultura, Slayer, Slipknot, Sick Of It All, Godsmack, etc... Basically, anything heavy and angry.

before working out, I'll listen to classical (haydn or beethoven) if i'm feeling a bit tired----helps me rest and get focused before I go----if i'm hopped up on ephedra, then I listen to hip hop(not gansta rap, but the stuff with really good beats)--gets me more pumped

Honestly, I don't listen to music when I am working out. Whatever is playing at the gym (but that is usually pop crap). Music gets in the way and it makes me get to excited and pumped up and then I expend to much enrgy getting fired up instead of making my lifts. I like to focus and visualize so I keep it quite. The only itme i listen to tunes is during sprint workouts.

I tried using a walkman during a workout for the first time a few weeks ago...I was amazed by how much it distracted me from training. I can block out the crap they play at my gym, but music I like definitely gets in the way and breaks my concentration.

I always listen to classical when I lift, if I even listen to any music that is. I especially love Moonlight Sonata when benching or squatting.

Metal.....? I already play it so I dont listen to it outside of that.

I can imagine listening to Dixie Sluts is a good way to get angry enough to squat real heavy, though. You might wanna try it.

No. I havent played with a band in a long long time because my whole thing has been geared towards playing for Ozzy. Seriously. I know, I know......but its just that thats my only dream.

But Im more than sure Im on a live rendition of "Rebel Yell" floating around on the internet. I downloaded it a while back and it sounds un nervingly like a band I played with for a very brief time and it sounds just like I sounded back then.
