Thread: Apache 50 caliber

That 50 cal machine gun is accurate up to 2200 meters I think and can still hit at 7800 meters. If you get hit by one of those rounds there's not much of you left. I thought that was the baddest weapon we got to fire in MCT.

Any clue what range he was at? He seemed to be well aware his shots would spread like they did- but thats what training is all about Either way thats wicked, The scope(or? Where was the shooter looking to see that?) even carried the number of rounds left. Weapons like this are the reason we took so few casualties taking Iraq.(Unfortunetely its useless when someone pops out of the crowd with an AK )

It seemed like they were shooting much more bullets, but if you watch the counter on the lower right, its not that many. But still enough to do damage.

Ya, the ground looks like there are land mines going off; Id hate to be on the shooters bad side. As a large supporter of the second amendment, I dont think its unconstitutional to not let civilians have these Unless we were getting our asses kicked(that badly) and invaded, of course.

I think the one thing thats appealing to me about this video is the fact that even after that guy is wounded, they order the sniper(? Could one call a .50 cal mg that?) to take him out. If that happened back home there would be a dead officer because he was ordered to go arrest him, and see if he was ok.
Im kinda back and forth on it tho.. If those were Iraqi soldiers he might have been a decent guy, which would suck for that to happen. But if those were Al Quieda(sp?) Id have no problem; due to the fact that they're all assholes and 50 cal bmg death is getting off easy.

I cant open the link. Unless they have changed something, which I doubt, the Apache was never armed with an .50 cal gun. Are you sure it aint the 30 mm cannon your seeing?. The Cobra carrys a 20mm gatling gun................take care............Rich

No idea here.. I assumed they just named the gun an apache and they were on a hill.(Lol) The file name for the video is apache_NEW.wmv, so It does sound like they made a change.

The Apache uses a 30mm cannon capable of shooting off 625 rounds a minute.
