    Garbage?! Get yourself out in some open ocean swells and tell me if its garbage!

    I've done mostly ocean kayaking, but would love to try whitewater.
    But when you disarm them, you at once offend them by showing that you distrust them, either for cowardice or for want of loyalty, and either of these opinions breeds hatred against you.

    Ocean is cool. I went once. It was in the gulf of mexico so no good waves besides the ones right on the shore. So id hit the wave and get trashed when i got to the shore...I havent done that again.

    Well "garbage" that is of course IMO. But whats fun about just paddling on a lake?

    Think.. if you are on a high mountain lake, and you want to paddle around for the scenery, or paddle with a friend. Doesnt seem too bad to me, but what do I know.. I dont kayak.

    placid water would be ideal for bringing the children along. i would love to kayak on the lakes n ponds up by katahdin to prepare them for some real adventure later on...
