used to do a lot of MA comps but that got old quick..to many people out there bleed easy, lol...used to compete in BMX but I got to heavy and broke to many frames jumping now I just stick to the iron dungeon...
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.
I was on the swim team in High School, but pretty much wasted my High School years being a professional burn-out. I'd love to do some kind of sport now, but dont see a lot of opportunites for it now that I'm 27.
But when you disarm them, you at once offend them by showing that you distrust them, either for cowardice or for want of loyalty, and either of these opinions breeds hatred against you.

Lol, we're all just organized sports "has beens."
International Ballroom Dancing that's where we just have fun and fall over each other. We need lots of practice.

Been involved in martial arts for the last 11 years or so; Judo, Jhoon Rhee style Tae Kwon do and also some ATA. Until now I have yet to lose in competition, in forms I’m not that great but always manage to place in the top four. Played JV baseball in high school for one year, was captain of my high school varsity football team my senior year. Threw shot put and discus in high school and placed as top eight throwers in high school in the state of Florida, interesting enough I had only been throwing for two years. Always like to be involved in some kind of sport.
I ran track and cross country, and played baseball throughout jr high/ 9th and 10th grade, I played Football Jr and Sr year, and wrestled from Jr high on through. I am currently training to get better at tennis as I was competitive at that up until beer entered my life.![]()

Agreed, but then so do strippers. And yet that somehow hasn't made it into the Olympics. Where's the justice?Originally Posted by JLB001

Kata, what's the scoop on Jhoon Rhee? I practice Chung Do Kwan TKD. Love it, and am -to date- undefeated. This is my competition area, not body building.Originally Posted by KataMaStEr

We had fight clubs around here a while back. Like a dumbass, I participated. I won as much as I lost.
Also participated in Kung Fu tournaments in the early 90s with one loss. *shrug*. Main style was Tibetan Tiger, with Cobra and Crane.
Mainly into Ninjutsu now but probably going to go full bore MMA with The Lion's Den here in Dallas. Or maybe the Kamiyama Ninpo Happo Bikenjutsu Dojo for more ninjutsu.

Someday....I will be like you....
The forms in Jhoon Rhee are musical forms; moves come at a certain point thru the music not just whenever you’d like. You can really get into it, it’s almost like the music was made for that specific form a lot of feeling goes behind it if you know what I mean. Which one is more useful in my opinion for street fighting ATA or Jhoon Rhee? Jhoon Rhee in my opinion. Which forms looks better? ATA, BUT a lot more emotion goes behind Jhoon Rhee forms than ATA if you ask me.Originally Posted by adrien_j9

I train in cycling. It's one hell of a combo - trying to improve my times with that and keeping my 310lb. bench max! All I can say is that I have to take in a lot of protein.
