I think it's a good idea to base your vote on an individual not just blindly vote democrat forever.

OK Johnny, read RG69's post here. If it doesn't make the article perfectly clear then nothing will.

I completely agree with you on that one.

Did I ever say that I didn't understand it? No.

I said I wasn't sure what to make of it.

    I understand it perfectly.

OK, then I'll rephrase my question. What part of the speech/article are you having trouble with?
Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???

When you say I don't know what to make of it about an article that is very clear, it either means you don't understand it, or you can't form your own opinion.

I think what Johnny is saying is that he doesn't understand why blacks would just vote dem for no reason other than to vote dem.

Come on Johnny, help us out here. If Dale is correct please say so. It's very difficult to answer your questions if you won't ask them clearly.

To all, I do understand what's going here.

I just wanted some other ppl's opinions on this latest speech.

Is that too much to ask? It doesn't mean that I don't know about it as I do.

& I don't need any history classes as I've taken many already so I know enough already.

    ALOB

OK, then I'll rephrase my question. What part of the speech/article are you having trouble with?
That is why your name is on that other quote. B/c you thought I didn't understand it but I did.

DON'T PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH.

My opinion is the same as rockgazer69's opinion

I think it's a good idea to base your vote on an individual not just blindly vote democrat forever
I was thinking the same thing but in different words.

I think Mono's next post will be about a small tree limb being removed from behind.
$3 on it. lol. I think its hilarious how this became a flame thread so fast and for apparently no reason. But hey, its good readin'!

You nice? That would be a first.

You insulted me about some stupid surgery.

I don't have an attitude, you just don't like my opinions as I've respected yours on intelligent matters.

& what you say about my driving?

Sorry you have it backwards dude, what you just describe about my driving is exactly how you drive. Not me.

Maybe you should leave driving in that thread.

I'm really starting to realize that you must not have anything better to do with your time.

Johnny, go back and look at your original post. When you say you're not sure about something it IMPLYS a misunderstanding of a subject or maybe not a total comprehension of that subject. That may not be the case, but that's the way it's read. I'll admit I'm getting on in years so my memory isn't what it used to be, but I think everytime you've asked a question or I thought you were trying to make sense of something I tried to help you. That's exactly what happened in this thread. Your original post clearly implied you were not understanding GWB's speech and I was going to try to help you understand it. In other words, I was being NICE. I was trying to HELP you. Yes, I'll admit, some of your threads become flame fests because you do tend to be unclear with your questions. If that happens in the future don't go getting upset, simply clarify your original question. The bottom line is that people are trying to be nice to you. Fair enough?

Okay I should've worded it differently.

I gave the impression that I didn't understand it.

I shouldn've said I understood it but wasn't sure what I think of it generally & what you guys thought about it.

    There clearified.

    Good to go.

So, now that we have that straightened out, how about we get on with your original question?

I think it's a good idea for GWB to try to convince the black community to do exactly what you and RG69 said. At the risk of stereotyping, too often "they" tend to vote exactly the way the NAACP tells them to instead of looking at the facts and making up their own minds. The president of the NAACP has said some very hateful things about GWB and that's exactly why he declined their invitation to attend their national convention. On the other hand, the Urban League, while not huge GWB supporters, does tend to think things through before making decisions. That's why GWB was speaking at their convention and that's the message he was trying to deliver; think for yourselves. Don't just follow like sheep.
