Has anyone seen The Bourne Supremacy yet?
I'm going to see it tonight with a bunch of ppl & I'm looking forward to it.
I loved the Bourne Identity great action, acting & plot. Plus that was a great car chase I'm expecting the same scenarios in this picture. |

I liked it more than the first one. IMO the second movie's car chase scenes are far superior to the first one.
The only thing i dont like is that he gets a little goodie-two-shoes at parts, which is always a bad thing when youre talking about a trained killer. |

I liked the first one a lot better. I really hate the type of filming where the camera moves more than the actors do. It is really irriatating to me to see nothing but a big blur during a fight scene the whole time. It was still a really good movie though.

Sorry for not responding as I haven't been online as often as I was busier this week.
The Bourne Supremacy was very good. Lots of action. The one thing that really pissed me off about the movie was that they killed off Jason Bourne's (really David Webb I believe) love Maria from the first movie. That really pissed me off & was disappointing, they should've let Maria live & either go on the adventure with him, or meet up with him at the end of the movie in New York. But all in all a good movie. A couple of you mentioned that you didn't like the camera moving so fast that you couldn't see what was going on. I agree with that at some points they could've slowed the camera down a bit especially during that fight scene in the apartment. As for getting soft? I don't think he got soft, I just don't think there was AS much hardcore action as in The Bourne Identity. Do any of you know if there was a book The Bourne Supremacy? As The Bourne Identity was made from an old book. I'm sure they will make another one in a couple of years. I thought he was going to end up with Nikki I believe from the first one who he encountered in the street car & subway. But definetely a buyer. |

Hrmmm, well I think one has to base the movie characters actions on the book series. If I recall, it was a trained killer that lost his memory. So when he acted, it wasnt always as a trained killer. So he acted as any person might... but then the trained killer instinct kicked in when he needed it. Robert Ludlum was an excellent author, I loved his works. Too bad he died, I would have liked to read more of his material

Eggs
Thanks for that list. After the Bourne Identity came out I bought the book by him & loved it. Does anyone know if in the 1986 Bourne Supremacy book Jason Bourne's girlfriend Maria was killed in the book as well as the movie? Does anyone else feel that it was wrong to kill off Maria his loving girlfriend? For some reason it just majorly pisses me off & I can't get over it. I loved seeing the 2 of them together living together & being together after all that had gone on in The Bourne Identity. It really made me sad & angry that they decided to kill her off to. I also liked her as an actress & what her character brought to the movie. |

Johhny - read the books, they are better than the movies, and prepare you better for what is to come. Plus, you can enjoy the words coming to life in a ways. They tend to be more vivid in script, but the movie is still rich

It was just ironic, that Bourne switched places with her. If she didnt get killed off, then he wouldnt have gone looking for the CIA people.`

Oh, whe he was under water, how he was able to get out of the water undetected as the killer watched along with the others for a long time. Other than that, a great film! Now, I am waiting for Alien vs Predator!

But if he'd stuck with the original plan to drop her off & meet her in an hour, it would've been less risky for her & probably would've lived. It just saddens me that's all as I enjoyed her as an actress, her character & what she brought to the film. I still think they could've done it a bit differently. Most ppl in the theatre were shocked & reacted sadly when they saw her get shot. Which I guess is the effect the director wanted. But I think they could've done it differently & let her character live & let the actress go on in these films. I'm guessing the next film they will do is The Bourne Ultimatum from the book. But if they do any more after that as that is the 3rd & final book with The Bourne something or other in the title I'm not sure. |

I would've tried to bring her to safety & tried my hardest to save her. Not only was she shot, but she was submerged under water & if she had any chance she needed CPR above the water on land. If it were me, I would've had her up on land giving her CPR within a few mins. I still say they should've let Jason Bourne's love survive & live & be with him. It would've made the story more interesting. Jason Bourne still would've gone after the CIA despite as he was framed for 2 killings & theft of the money & the CIA was after him for that already. |

Finally saw it yesterday. Pretty good. Certainly entertaining, but what possible reason did he have for not finishing that fuck off in Moscow? Hello, the guy killed his girl, you don't have to be a trained killer to pull the trigger on someone like that. It was totally illogical and out of character, IMO. Aside from that, I really enjoyed it.

But the audience in our theatre & others who I know have seen it where under the impression that that f$ck ended up dying from the car crash as you see him all f$cked up, bleeding & then "passing out" or dying. This was one reason why I thought they should've let Maria live. They could've made it that she hid for the rest of the movie somewhere in an undisclosed location that he would meet up with her at the end of the movie just as the 1st one. I'm still a bit pissed that they killed Maria off as I've already said I like the actress & what her character brought to the film. From the list of books that Eggs supplied by Robert Ludlum, I'm guessing that the next movie will be The Bourne Ultimatum but whether they do any more movies from his books with Matt Damon, we'll just have to wait. Great film, but just pissed off that his girl was killed off & they could've slowed the camera down for some parts a little. But all in all a great film |

Oh, he died? Ok that's cool then. I thought it looked like he was still breathing at the end & Bourne just walked away.
