My favorite part...
At one point, the officers discussed whether the bamboo in the window might be the demon weed as well, Davis told the Houston Chronicle. They also asked him what he planned to do with the watermelons and cantaloupes growing out back

Wow?
I'd have asked where on that warrant did it say anything about hibiscus', bamboo, watermelons and cantaloupes.
What ever happened to post op surveillance? They went into a suspected drug house without watching it for a while and finding out how many suspects they would have to face, possible guns, possible chemical labs, etc. I mean it would have been obvious while staring through binoculars that those plants blooming with big red flowers aren't marijuana.
And the judge? Are warrants that easy to obtain?
"Uh, your honor Citizen X says Citizen Y is growing watermelons that may be used in a unsafe manner can we get a warrant to bust down their door and scream at Citizen Y and his family?"

no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
