    Support Operation American Freedom(from M.E. oil)

    http://energy.senate.gov/legislation...e_Overview.pdf

    Please support Operation American Freedom (from the Middle East)
    by forwarding the following text to your State Senators and Congressmen/women. Be sure to fill in blanks. If they are Representatives then erase the Senator portion and the other way if they are in the Senate.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Dear Senator or Congressman:________________

    I write to urge you to support the energy efficiency tax incentives that are included in the Senate version of the "FSC/ETI" bill (HR 4520 and S 1637) now in conference.

    We continue to face steep energy bills in this country, with record high prices for natural gas and oil, along with a continued threat of electric

    blackouts. The energy efficiency tax incentives would have a real, and

    positive, impact by encouraging consumers to save energy and developing

    markets for innovative energy-efficient products. In fact, they are among

    few items in the FSC/ETI bill (or the energy bill) that will directly benefit consumers. Furthermore, these provisions are widely supported, and are part of the energy tax package that was supported in the Senate by a strong bipartisan vote of 85-13.

    The critical incentives for new energy-efficient technologies include:

    -Buildings: incentives for new homes, improvements to existing homes, and commercial buildings that far exceed building codes;

    -Vehicles: incentives for hybrid engines and future fuel cell vehicles based on their fuel economy improvements over current cars;

    -Appliances and equipment: incentives for heating and cooling equipment, as well as for refrigerators and clothes washers; and

    -Distributed generation: incentives for combined heat and power, and for stationary fuel cells.

    Please ask the "FSC/ETI" conference to support these important energy

    efficiency tax incentives. They are the start of a sound energy policy

    that can address the serious energy problems facing our nation.

    Sincerely,

    Your Name

    not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
    and drag down the features of age,
    no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
    no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
    but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
