I was 3-13 yrs old in the 80's, so my experiences were different than many here. Highlights for me were...
    Empire Strikes Back,
    Return Of the Jedi,
    Smurfs,
    Atari,
    Heavy Metal music,
    The Last Starfighter,
    Black Hole,
    Indiana Jones,
    Back To The Future
    etc..
But when you disarm them, you at once offend them by showing that you distrust them, either for cowardice or for want of loyalty, and either of these opinions breeds hatred against you.

    Scary... years 10 - 20... what WASN'T I doing back then?

I just wrote out a really long piece on everything prominent that I could remember from those years... then I re-read it and decided it was FAR too much information to share! lol

I was 0-8. I remember hammer pants, and smurfs. Oh, and thundercats, transformers, and he-man.

Studied martial arts for 5 years,... then quit and started studying Computer Programming, smoking pot, and shagging every chick I could get ahold of..!

Don't smoke pot anymore, having difficulties shagging the cuties I'd like,... but I can program the hell out of a computer!

0-10.....80's were sort of a blur for me. I only remember certain trends, tv shows, etc. Hell, lol, I have problems even remembering last week. Then, again, who wants to remember the 80's? lol I do remember little things though, such as birthdays, random sports facts, etc.

I canīt really describe it. I believe that we jumped 30 years in less than 10. Early 80īs everything was really calm, like US in the 50īs.
The military governed the country for half of that decade.
Pop culture? It was more brazilian, pure. Now it is influenced by the rest of the world, like everyone else. What dictates pop culture here is a televison network called Globo, it is the third best in the world so when any national event happens, soccer, soap opera, news, we are connected.
Besides that, we are brazilians. So many ways to interpret that.
