Fatty Acid in Fish May Arrest Alzheimer's

    http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...restalzheimers

    here is some "new" news...lol

imagine that, Omega 3 fatty acids are important ! last time I checked 60% of the dry weight of the human brain was supposed to be comprised of fatty acids...once again bodybuilders are way ahead of the rest in knowing about optimum nutrition for normal healthy brain function..

I wonder what other nutrients those rats that developed the disease were not taking too.

I think there are alot of other reasons for it. For example, aluminum has been linked to it. Most deorderarnts have it. Processed foods have many preservatives in them, including those that have also shown to contribute to various diseases. The list goes on.

I don't totally avoid some potential harmful things, but I do use natural deorderants, soaps, and buy organic foods for the most part. I don't use alot of the supplements on the market, but I do use some. The ones I use are primarily based on what's good for the body, not necessarily the muscle.

Oh, I do get a good intake of the Omega fatty acids. Another thing, I use coconut oil instead of veg oil (if you haven't tried it, do yourself a favor and get some).

Personally, I believe the more natural foods you eat, the better off you are. Buy organic if you can, but non organic veggies are better than none.

A study I read on American-Japanese men in Hawaii who are known to eat alot of Tofu, are more at risk to suffer Dementia and Alzheimers than Native Japanese. It could be because Native Japanese eat a lot more fish than American-Japanese who are more incline to eat beef, pork and chicken.

What's scary is that soy has been touted as the best source of protein for Vegans and they are less likely to get any Omega-3's in their diet, are they on a crash course to become mindless zombies? That's why I'm an Ova-Lacto Vegetarian and rarely eat Tofu or soy products.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

The eskimo's have far less alzhiemer's disease and multiple sclerosis which may be explained by this. I believe the African Bantu tribes and european gypsies have similar protection that may not be explained by the omega 3's though. Either way, the omega 3 's have fantastic heart protection data, bipolar disease treatment data and cholesterol lowering data so I advocate it for its protection against the number one killer in America, heart disease.

No. Funny thing, a highly popular tv show presented to us flax seed a couple of weeks ago because it contained a miracolous substance. lol

Actually we have the third best television network. CNN - BBC then Globo.
If that gets boring, we go to the beach.
