What I have always found so interesting about the "PRO-CHOICE/PRO-LIFE" war is the fact that it isn't a battle between two extremes. It's a fight between one FAR end of the spectrum, and the middle. A PRO-CHOICE supporting woman, might very well decide to keep the baby. Some people are just so ignorant that they need to have everything their way.


I think your choice of thread starting is interesting Rich. But why don't you send us to a site showing 1,000 dead troops ~or~ pictures of poverty resulting from our current economic state.

Everybody deserves the right to "choice", i'm sure you agree on that as far as voting goes at least. And it makes me sad to think there is a very good chance GWB will have another term. I'm still voting the way I want to though.

Mark my words, the next 4 years are going to be VERY rough times. and possibly long after that. Grab a camera and you can make your own sad distugusting pics during that time. If that's your thing. What did you expect, pictures of rainbows and unicorns to come out of a women during an abortion?

I am pro-life. That is all I will say about it as I really do not want to debate it. It goes nowhere.

However, I will say this, I distrust ANYONE on ANY SIDE of the issue for who this is an easy decision. Anyone who has no reservations about their stance, regardless of which side you are on, is an extremist in my opinion and has way too narrow of a focus.

This is hard and I respect anyone, even if they disagree with me, if they are recognize that.

EDIT: Luke is really testing my resolve to stay out of this debate as that is one ridiculous post bro.

From a constitutional point of view, Roe v Wade is bad law. Similar to Dredd Scott decision which found a right to own slaves in the Constitution.

Here's a short synopsis by paragraph number,

1. A 1/2 serious joke to make you think
2. Why I find the abortion debates interesting
3. This is where I transitioned into what I knew Rich was posting as an underlying theme. Every thread started by Rich is to either bash the democratic party or support the republican party. So I started to look at that here.
4. Just letting Rich know that this isn't the 'issue' that will swing voters.
5. A transition back to the original thread topic and a conclusion on the abortion pictures.
6. An expression of my graditiude

First of all any post of Rich's is a waste of space. He is one twisted mofo.

Pepper you are a very contemplative person with a great insight and have a positive view on the world around you, with no selfish "clique" mentality. I believe that you vote by intelligent reasoning and conscience. As a fellow Republican I respect that. I am a republican on issues, but dislike the way self-serving groups of people use the resources and power that my party wields (Kathleen Harris as the person controlling the electoral process in Florida AND campaigning for Bush) to promote their own interests. It is their ability to use blinded neophytes like Rich that makes Rich such a danger. He is by himself a harmless non-entity as no sane person is going to read his posts and think “wow what a good train of though I am going to be like Rich” (emphasis on sane please). The danger Rich poses is that there is a million people out there just like him that vote!!

Luke you are compassionate and intelligent. I enjoy reading your posts as you have a good insight … for a liberal Democrat. I hate Bush as you do and regret voting for him. He is nothing more than the titular head of a group of power elite … but that is a different thread. I look forward to debating issues with you after the next Bush election.

Pro-life is the normal stance a person would take if asked the right way with the facts in front of them. Most people do not really know just how fast and complete the fetus develops in the womb. By the end of the first month it is a very nearly complete person. The pictures above are graphic I am sure, although I did not look as I have seen similar ones and need not hurt my soul like that again.

Rich is an asshole for not warning of the content of that site. Most of us have seen Rich in action and know what he is capable of, but new members unaware of Rich’s caustic style may click on that link and get caught off-guard. This thread should be amended so as to warn people.

That's the humor I find in all of it. Pro-lifers choose to be pro-life. If a Pro-choice individual chooses to have the baby, does she become "pro-life"? You can always count on the english language to add humor to these kind of things.
