Sapp, I am sorry to hear about your losses, thats truly a tragedy and a crime against humanity to say the least. I don't think anyone has forgotten or will anytime soon. at least not as long as Bush uses it as his platform to re-election, like it was his finest hr or sum shit.

Wow, I can't believe its already been 3 years...

Yeah, I still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing that day. I work in the ATC field, so it really bothered us. We started grounding everything soon after.


It really broke my heart to see those buildings go down.

I was in DC that day. Alot of friends in the Pentagon, luckily none were hurt. Just very shaken. I can see the pentagon from my balcony (about a mile away) and there was smoke coming up from there for many days after. Will never forget.

I was just finishing up shift change and CNN was on and saw it happen. (the 2nd plane)

I would appreciate all the Bush bashing and comments concerning why 9/11 occurred to be discussed in another thread.

Good innocent FRIENDS of mine died that day... I wanted to honor their memory.

I think I was at the gym and was doing cardio when I saw faces in they gym drop to the floor after the second plane hit. Then, the rest is as it was... the Pentagon, the months and months of rescuing and finding any survivors or just bodies of those who died, families wanting/needing to give their loved one a decent burial and not under some building rubbles but still laid there... yes, a very sad and tragic year!! Not Day.. not month's because it took most of the world and many New Yorker's to overcome that and those who did lose lives or weren't found are still hurt as the years will continue to pass by.

Cyndi, I do recalling you telling me about friend's and mostly your sister potentially a victim. I'm happy that she wasn't there and as I know you, your emotions would still be deeply affected as they are for your friend's losses.

I was playing Age Of Empires online with friends from Australia, Malaysia, Greece, and England. Some of them said that they had heard something bad was going to go down in the US in a day or so. I took a week off from work and wondered around in an angry mood. I beat up the guy at the convenience store out in Lago Vista ... he looked like "one of them" to me and I lost it while buying bait. The paramedics and cops showed up. The guy got taken to the hospital (I really wigged out), then the cops left without arresting me (no charges were ever filed). I went fishing.



That store was owned by "them people" and closed down in six months. No business.

Just a side note. Be proud of the Joe and Jane American citizen. We gave so much blood we were asked by the Red Cross to stop for a while. They had no place left to keep it. We opened up our hearts and our bank accounts and gave it up. Made me proud to be an American.

Yeah and hats off to the NY Fire Department and everyone else that put in their all and risked their own lives to help. One of the members here had told me that someone had made slip on boots for the dawgs so they wouldn't cut their feet in their efforts to help save lives. I though that was pretty kewl.

Can you specifically tell us how, why, and under what circumstances these attacks had, had anything to do with "freedom?"

The media is responsible for this garbage-can notion that these attacks involved a fight for and orgainst the concept of freedom.
