I have the trilogy on VHS and can't really see it being that much better on DVD so I think I'll keep my money.

The resolution of VHS does not really compare to DVD. Especially Star Wars!!! the picture & sound is going to be phenomenal. Pick up an HDTV & surround sound system & you'll notice the difference!

Well ya, You could buy a couple of cases instead of buying movies that you already own

i guess if hdtv and surround sound for DVD isn't available, then a 6pack and VHS will have the same effect

It was ok until George lucas started popping out the more recent episodes. I am deffinately not looking forward to this box set coming out.

I bet you guys didn't know the theme song to Star Wars plays every time i step in a room (or is that just my imagination)

Here's a few reason off the top of my head:
1. A religious/greater power (the force)
(that's the reason Lucas said Star Wars had so much success)
2. Good vs. evil
3. GREAT characters
4. GREAT storyline with adventure, action, comedy, drama...everything
5. GREAT music
6. Great effects

I grew up watching Star Wars, and have loved it since i was a kid.

There's no following for any movie(s) ever like there is for SW.

I was refering to the "old" ones. Most characters, from Han and Luke to the Ewoks and Chewy were great.

The new ones on the other hand are different. Jar Jar SUCKED haha. and the kid they got to play teenage Anakin may very well be the worst actor in history

Hey man I was 17 and this was new shit back then. I still like the series. When Yoda broke out the whoop-ass in the last one I laughed my ass off.
