    Anyone from Chicago?

I'm going out there in a few weeks for a long weekend to go see my girl. She's at Nwestern

whats good to go see? I've never been to Chicago, but i've heard nothing but good things bout it (cleanliness, friendliness etc. etc.)
If anyone lives out there, we should get in touch.
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

Hmm...my old stompin' grounds....if you like hangin' at parks, the system near the lake is awesome, whether Grant Park downtown or Lincoln Park on the North Side (closer to N'Western). Lincoln Park has (or had) a free zoo you can walk around. . .

Also, River North has some trendy sports bars, etc. . .though you can find that kind of stuff all over the city, but there are some microbreweries around on the North side, too. Your girl might know somethin' about those places. If you go downtown, hit up Marshall Field's if you are into browsing, or take a long walk down Michigan Avenue and see all the trendy stores. Make sure your girl has lots of money to buy you stuff.

If she really likes you, ask her to get some reservations for Second City (I think it's still there in Old Town. . .been a few years but you can check on that). There are several improv and comedy clubs that you can sometimes get cheap tix for around. And Dan Ackroyd and Jim Belushi have a Blues club - I think that's on the Near North side.

If she's got a car and you are on the cheap, just drive up the lakeshore north of Evanston and check out the awesome Bahai Temple. Or take LakeShoreDrive south toward downtown - great views.

If she's got connections, make her take you to see Da Bears at Soldier Field. . .or a N'Western football game (they are Big 10). And if you get a free eats day, hit up Pizzeria Uno or Due or see if Leona's (one in Wicker Park, one in the west burbs) is still doing their awesome Sunday Italian brunch buffet. . .(casual place.)

Oh yeah...make her get you tickets for Jerry Springer...hehehe..or dammit - Oprah - maybe she'll be givin' everyone a new car again that day...

Chicago is so good. One of my favorite cities. It is pretty much like new york, once you get there you will know what to do.

Well, if it is in October you won't be seeing a Cubs game.

You'll probably snag your scrotum on the litttle wrought iron fence that surrounds the statue, then the nuts you'll be grabbing will be your own.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Theres tons to do in Chicago

    Food
    Mike Ditka's Restuarant
Boston Blackies (best burgers in the world)
    Pizzaria Uno's
House of Blues (great food and music)
    Gale Street Inn (best ribs)
Stetson's Chop House (in the Hiatt Downtown)

    Places to see
Navy Pier (places to eat and shop, entertainment, extends far out onto lake)
    Field Museum
    Art Institute of Chicago
    Mellenium Park
    Lincoln Park Zoo
    Grant Park
    Museum of Science and Industry
    Oriental Institute
    Chicago Historical Society
    Marshall Fields Downtown
    The Magnificent Mile (great stores)
    Oak Street Beach
    Adler Planetarium
    Shedd Aquarium

    The list goes on......

    EDIT:
    Heres a few more ideas:
Untouchable Tours Actors dressed like gansters take you on a tour of chicago's gangland landmarks

Blue Man Group at the Briar Street Theatre

Go to Chicago Metro Mix.com, you can use this website to search for anything you want to do in the area. Hope this helps...

Hey, them Northwestern coeds are goin' to an expensive school...and have to be smart, too. Besides, she's spozed to be the hostess. . .

I'm not sure if you can still do this (after 9/11) but I think they have some observatories still up at the top of the Sears Tower and the John Hancock Building - if it's a clear day and ya'll are hangin' downtown to take pics, that can be fun.
And you Chicago guys - didn't they put in some new stuff right off Michigan Ave. downtown? Like new art sculptures...is that Millenium Park? I saw that early in April when I had a layover between trains coming back from Cleveland.

The signature room in the top of the cock is a bit pricey, but on a clear day the view is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity. Good food aswell for the most part.
