Damn, did you tape it? I was working and couldnt watch! Do you know if it will be replayed?
Sorry for all the Q's![]()

Is it just me or did Bush look like he was about to cry there for a while. He was breathing funny too?!?! ect.. several freudian slips. I can't wait for the analysis' to start flying out. It sure looked like Kerry rocked his world. Bush did NOT display the kind of stature I want in a the leader of this country.

Both made pretty good points. This is going to be just another thread where the same people rip on Bush or the same people rip on Kerry.![]()
..I do admit, though,Kerry held his composure much better. Bush looked like he was going to jump out from behind his podium everytime he wanted to respond to Kerry.
It looked like bush was gonna cry but only when talking about the iraq victims.
Did I hear wrong or did Kerry call Putin a "brute"? If he did that is hillarius =)
Exactly. I know who I am voting for and everyone is entitled to their opinion.....however, that doesn't mean I have to listen to it.Originally Posted by busyLivin

IMO Kerry won the debate overall, but the key issue is whether he gets a bump in the polls. If not, it's curtains for Kerry.

I was impressed with how Kerry handled the debate, a couple of more like that and I think Bush may be going bye-bye.![]()

"You know I just wish Kerry was here right now, which he's not, so that I could ask him to his face what he thinks would have been a better strategy!"
ok so that wasn't said, but it would have been funny
does anyone else think Bush brought his daughters onto the stage at the end for the sex appeal vote? Sorry but there was nothing sexy about Kerry's campaign
here was a great quote from Bush at one point during the debate, amongst the many time he bumbled his words. I was especially moved when he told America that..
"giving mixed messages send the wrong signals."
wow, that some deep shit right there, very profound! fuccin moron.
I'm Canadian but I still watched it because I think we should take an interest in what's going on "down there". Kerry certainly sounded and looked better, but from what I've heard he is usually wishy washy and not like that. As a foreigner though I'd rather see a tree voted in than George Bush again.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.
The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.
The actual debate is rather irrelevant. It is who spins it the best that ends up winning. The consensus was that Gore won the first debate in 2000 but Bush got a bump because his people spun it better. A few days later is what matters.
9 out of 10 terrorist agree anyone but bush.
"MAKE IT HAPPEN"
I don't judge a candidate on how articulate they are. Being crafty and articulate is common among politicians. Bush has never been very adept and what I call "spontaneious conversation," even when he is walking and responding to reporter questions.
Although I don't like Bush at all, I did notice his word flubs...."love" was mentioned, and "laughing" with the parents of a dead soldier.
Bush didn't look so hot.
Hopefully, the undecideds will start to think his actual ideas and policies aren't so hot.
However historically, the debates have rarely caused significant movement in the polls. That does not mean the many "undecideds" will not lean to Kerry in the "toss-up" states perhaps.
I am waiting for the VP debate on the 5th.....
It's an accurate statement that our current spending will not be increasing the debt We've stopped spending money that we don't have.
-- Jack Lew, then director of the Office of Management and Budget, in Feb. 16, 2011 testimony before the Senate Budget Committee.

Bush got owned.
If you made me pick a winner, I'd have to say Kerry won slightly only b/c Bush seemed to repeat himself a little too much.
However, it was beleived that Kerry would smoke Bush in the debates and he did not, so I'd have to say I am happy with the narrow loss.
I saw nothing last night to convince me that the tide will turn.
Gr81....he's a moron? Harvard and Yale much?

IAB, that's just nonsense. I am convinced the anti-Bush crowd would have said that no matter what happened. THere was no 'ownage' last night, you need to stay away from the tards on FCOriginally Posted by I Are Baboon

Nothing really made a dent in my decision,To be honest it wasn't all that great.I was expecting tougher questions.Wasn't most of it about the war and IRAQ?
"MAKE IT HAPPEN"
It's very interesting to see how the Us media portrays Bush compared to how he is portrayed by the media in Sweden. Big difference.

I get frustrated at the MANY people here who are so conviced GW has done everything right and they BLINDLY support him and/or the Republican party without being able to admit the mistakes he has made. In MY job, if I made the mistakes GW has made, I'd get fired. That said, I still may vote for him because Kerry has not convinced me he could handle things any better.Originally Posted by Pepper
I am not a Bush hater. I voted for him in '00. I'm just pissed off with current events.
Debates are meaningless. I don't care what they say because political words rarely translate into actions. I place far more value in the record of the canidate than the words (that somebody else wrote) that come out of their mouths.
I realize that you can't change people's opinions with the facts, but I just can not get past the fact that Kerry
1. called his fellow soldiers murderers, rapists, war criminals... while they were still in combat and being held as POWs.
2. met with North Viet. representatives in Paris during the "police action".
3. voted against every major weapons program since he was elected to the senate.
4. pushed for a nuclear freeze when Regan was president.
5. spent 20 years in the senate but doesn't talk about anything that he did in the senate during those 20 years.
6. refuses to release his entire military record, which includes the medical records pertaining to those 3 questionable purple hearts.
Anyone?=JJJ
Did I hear wrong or did Kerry call Putin a "brute"?
Yup, I thought Bush was going to pull out his hanky.
I also thought that I heard Bush say that the Iraqi insurgents were fighting "vociferously" or loudly screaming...So why are we then killing them, because they scream loudly? Man, I hope he never comes to Miami, because he'll end up killing all the Cubans (I am cuban-american by the way)... We are a loud group of people....![]()

Yea that part really disturbed me. This guy has NO idea what to say. Here is a guy that says " I will NOT act differently under pressure" and in a simple debate he just breaks down. What a little p#ssy.Originally Posted by Mr_Snafu

Yes! I watched some news this morning. They did some careful editing and caught bush at a couple of the moments when he didn't look all teary and he could actually talk. They summarized the debate as giving kerry a "slight edge", even though he destroyed GW. It's clear where the money is.Originally Posted by Jenny

One of the best lines last night was where Kerry said we had no allies. And Bush responded by saying "What about Britian, what would you say to Mr. Blair?
Major mistake by Kerry. Kerry still does not tell you where he stands. He says he will do something but not tell you how he plans to do it because he doesn't know either.
