House Passes D.C. Gun Ban Repeal
10/1/2004

The U.S. House of Representatives handed gun-rights advocates a victory Sept. 29 by passing a bill that would repeal the District of Columbia's ban on handguns by a vote of 250 to 171.

Well according to some politicians in DC that is how it sounds. They think the sky high murder rate they have now will get higher.

It will be hard to get passed through the Senate though, so it might not become law.

Fricking liberal Democrat weenies would see their momma shot before they see the reality of the situation. Texas has a good C&C law that has droped the crime stats. I hope DC gets the same help.

So I take it you are pro gun? Cool! But why support Kerry? He will be worse than Clinton with the semi auto gun ban.

Bro I am a Republican on issues ... I just hate Bush. The dude has lied, cheated, and fuggered the American public beyond anything you have ever really believed. DG if you really asked the hard questions and looked for answers with out allowing a party alliance to cloud your answers you would not be able to stand listening to Bush talk his bullshit. Look up oil peaking, Cheny's $20,000,000 retirement check for 5 years of work at Hal. Man the list is endless, but if you really look at Bush and let the honest answers come to you then you will vote against him too.

BTW DG the gun ban is a small issue. We still take our AK47's and our 9mm uzi carbines out for plinking ... we just can't run 'em or own 'em on full auto.

All politicians are that way. Kerry ain't no different. They all get kickbacks and other stuff. Why do you think they want in office so bad. I still think Bush has done the best thing against terrorism and in Iraq. I will still vote Republican and for Bush since he is the head Repub. At least Bush made a choice and stuck with it. What would Kerry have done? Switched his mind 100 times? I don't trust him. He is just telling everyone what he thinks they want to hear. That is why he changes his mind so often. It's how the wind blows. Plus he inherited something no one predicted or could have seen and I think the country is pretty well off considering.................better than if a Democrat had been in.

You can with a class III license but the damn guns are so expensive anyway. I dont feel like spending 20K for an M-16.

I thought the senate already voted this repeal of the gun ban down. The only reason that it got put onto the calendar at all in the house is that the NRA is scared of a lawsuit by the CATO institute that is being pushed in DC.

As having lived on Capitol Hill, near the worst neighborhoods in Washington DC, that are an embarrassment to the nation, and a threat to our safety I ask:

How can a city with the highest murder rate per capita in the world even consider banning handguns.

They should take all felons with violents criminal backgrounds and execute them on the spot.

The best way to rid the world of killers and heinous criminals is the verify who they are and, simply kill them.
