Ernest Hemingway-'The Old Man and The Sea'

...It shouldn't take you any longer than a couple of hours to read.

Hell, it's a couple of words long, but don't put much stock on them, they are blatant lies

Sidartha by Herman Hesse. Either taht or Animal Farm by George Orwell. Both are under 120pgs and really great books.

Mother Night by Kurt Vonnegut (?) Great book and short
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingway's most enduring works. Told in language of great simplicity and power, it is the story of an old Cuban fisherman, down on his luck, and his supreme ordeal -- a relentless, agonizing battle with a giant marlin far out in the Gulf Stream. Here Hemingway recasts, in strikingly contemporary style, the classic theme of courage in the face of defeat, of personal triumph won from loss. Written in 1952, this hugely successful novella confirmed his power and presence in the literary world and played a large part in his winning the 1954 Nobel Prize for Literature.

Next time read Thomas More's Utopia around 100 pages
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I was just about to say 'The animal Farm' I read it in a little over an hour and it is very easy to do reports on

I never liked "Animal Farm," it hit too close to home.
