    Second presidential debate

    Second debate polls...
    Fox News: Kerry 56%-Bush 43%...
    ABCNews: Kerry 44%, Bush 41%...
    CNN poll: Kerry 78%-Bush 22%...
    USAToday poll: Kerry 47%-Bush 45%....
    CBSNews: Kerry 87%-Bush 11%.

Bush came close, but not THAT close. For Kerry fans, good news is that CBS News surveys undecided voters mostly, and look at that poll...pretty nice, huh???

Where did you get that? I saw the online poll, too. Where does it say anything about undecided voters?

CBS is as liberal as they come, as is CNN.

    Bush did better this time.

He had more energy, used more statistical facts (though they don't mean a lot in debates because both candidates use falty stats), and was more clear than his first debate.

I hope Kerry wins. It will be close.

Interesting, in that 3 weeks from the election we do not know who will be our next President.

I am going to call in sick from work, to watch the election.

I too think that Bush did better this time, but I still thought Kerry was better, no question about it. I hope to God that Kerry wins.

I was watching a thing on Fox news where they were talking about financial stuff. One of the guys said that Kerry wanted to take away the abilitiy to be really stinking rich and this other guy responeded to it. He said, no that's not what he wants, he doesn't want us to become Sweden for gods sake I laughed so hard It's so true too, in sweden we pay taxes like crazy.

I probably laughed hardest when kerry was stuttering/fumbling over the brain surgeon statement... took him maybe 8 seconds to come up with it..

um.. the um ,, ya know, i, a, i um, (points to head) the um...on & on

not really a big deal, but when libs always laugh at bush's pauses, it was bittersweet to see Kerry sound & look worse than any of bush's pauses.

Bush prevented Cali from reducing fire hazards by thining brush and smaller trees in their Federally protected forrests. BushCo then passed new legislation to allow companies with certain types of permits to log the same areas as well as Federally protected reserves.

Wonder who made the money there?

We almost got roasted, fires came 400 feet from my house . . .

Bush & co didn't make the non thinning rule.
It has been that way or 30 or more years.

I think thinning is what needs to be done.
So either government does it at high cost,
or a private company does it at a lower cost.

Just because someone makes money at it is not bad.
If it is open for public bid, then it goes to whoever.
If it is doled out to someone, they Bush would be directing
    the money to his buddies.

In fact, according to his 2003 financial disclosure form, Bush does own part interest in "LSTF, LLC", a limited-liability company organized "for the purpose of the production of trees for commercial sales."
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
