Presidential Election: Who are you voting for?

BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS

Closing in on November, there's been endless debate on TV, radio, newspaper, magazine and on our very own IM regarding who to vote for in the upcoming election.

We've had numerous threads on IM alone discussing the subject, yet i really don't know which way IM sways.

After all the info i've seen and read, i can't believe people still want Bush in office. But that's not the point of this thread. It's an anonymous poll, so don't feel obliged to write your name if you don't want to.

There is a category for "other", for all you who will vote for someone other than the main 2. I only included Bush and Kerry specificaly, b/c we all know no one else stands a chance.

Therefore, vote for your candidate for Pres. of the US.

I voted other...

Michael Badnarik. We all know CT is a liberal state, and Kerry will get our electoral votes. So there is no use in voting Bush here. Id rather give the Libertarians some more votes. I think he is best candidate anyways.

Where is my "None of the above" choice? This poll is just as horribly limited as real life.

I vote Denis Leary!

Bush. I may not like him, but Kerry's not an improvement.

Now that is the first reasonable statement I've seen

without getting into an arguement, how is that true?^

Bush has done nothing but bad. How do you know how Kerry will do?

I'm just saying, CLEARLY people dislike Bush, right? That's what everyone says.

But they say Kerry will do no better. How do they know that? I just don't get it...

I posted this in another thread but maybe it fits in better here.

Why would any of you believe a word that comes out of Kerry's mouth? Just about everything he says is the exact opposite of the way he has voted over the last twenty years. Pleeeeeeeeease he won't raise taxes. Are you shitin me...that's what liberals do, they take your money to fund all of their crack brain schemes. Of course this always appeals to the lazy bums looking for handouts. Kerry is just plain dangerous for America right now the last thing we need in office in a time of war is a pantie wearing liberal. If you are voting for Kerry it is because A) You are looking for a handout B) You are naive.

He has changed sides on some issues, but with good reason. We don't really need to go over this again, it was covered in the debates.

In the past 40 years, only 2 presidents have lowered taxes, Bush and Kennedy. One dem and one Repub. Last I checked, there were a bunch of Repubs and a bunch of dems in between there, so they are both guilty of raising taxes.

I would like to add a C.

I honestly believe if GW remains president this country will be unfixable in 4 years, if it lasts that long.

Just as I suspected naive. Bush is just fixing what Clinton F'ed up. Let me guess you think it was Bush who sent the economy into a recession a couple of months into his term. And he was probably the mastermind behind 9/11 too. Some people never learn... more government is bad for America.

Either way, I think this has become the most vicious and divisive elecition in recent history. It is splitting the nation in two, ideologically. And that, my friends, is just bad.

Actually that is exactly what makes America great. Everyone gets to express their own ideologies.

Smirk

Washington artist Kayti Didriksen's painting 'Man of Leisure, King George' depicts President Bush in the well-known style of Manet's 'Olympia', as he is presented with his crown by a depiction of Vice President Dick Cheney. The cartoonish painting has been taken down from the wall at the City Museum of Washington, awaiting a more welcoming venue. (AP Photo/Artomatic, Jim Tretick)

Nope, wrong. The problems I have with Bush are that he misled about Iraq, strategically he went into Iraq unprepared, and 9/11 occured on his watch where there seemed to be plenty of evidence that it may happen. And despite all of this, he still won't admit he has fucked up. Also, he will suceed in destroying the environment in the next 4 years.

I honestly could not care less about the economy, I have money. I am also against welfare of any kind other than unemployment. I DO believe Sadam was a threat, but he was not next in line, Syria and/or N Korea were.

I agree with that. However, this election has become more an argument than a debate. You cannot deny that is has split the nation more than ever.

I definitely agree that a great thing about the US is that we can all express our own ideas. But, I think this election is beyond that. It has absolutely polarized our nation.

You are making my case for me. NAIVETY thinking that 9/11 wouldn't have occurred if someone else was in office... or for that matter thinking it won't happen again if Kerry is in office. As far as N. Korea and Syria are concerned I think they are a concern. But please tell me you don't think Kerry would ever do anything but flap his gums about that.

I don't think Bush will go after them either. Iraq will consume our forces for the next 4 years as well. At least with Kerry there is a chance, albeit slight, that other noations may join.

As far as 9/11 occurring on someone else's watch. I do believe that it WOULD have happened under Gore's watch, but if there was someone even just a slight bit competent as president it would have never happened. I do believe that had it happened Gore would have responded more appropriately and NOT have attacked a nation that had nothing to do with the attacks. I also believe we would have finished the first war before starting any other wars.

Also, let me respond to your reply before you post it. GORE WOULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING ABOUT 9/11. There is absolutely no president that could have gotten through that without bringing the people responsible to justice. Oh wait, Osama is still not captured, I guess there is ONE president who could have.
