Well... next to the last day and I have to call tomorrow morning at 9am
Sure hope I can skate out of this on my last day. It's questionable though when you're selected to call in the morning.
Also I found out that being on call doesn't count for your 5 day service. I could still get selected on the very last day and have to serve for 5 more days .. That sucks!
Hotel ! Most are never provided with that luxury.
Everyone I knows that serves Vieope have to serve locally.
The only benefit you get is a few cents in gas milaege to and from work.
I thought you would get isolated, because you canīt see any news to influence your decision. That doesnīt happens anymore? It must be only with big cases.

Yeah Vieope, that's only with the big cases.
Most cases that people deal with though are the typical small arms robberies,
drunk driving, domestic violence..... stuff like that.
I don't know how people are selected for the big trials where they are put up in hotels and stuff.
question, do you have to dress up when you get picked? Or can you go in your regular clothes (beer shirt and hat).
Appropriate courtroom dress is required. Shirts, ties dresses, suits, blazers, jackets and other business attire are appropriate. It is advisable to bring a sweater or jacket since courtrooms tend to be cold. Jurors should dress comfortably. Sweatsuits, work uniforms, t-shirts, sneakers, beachwear, halter tops, tank tops, exercise clothes and shorts are NOT acceptable. However, dress shorts of acceptable length (to be determined by a juror officer) will be allowed. Hats are typically not allowed unless worn for religious purposes.
Some courts will even send inappropriately dressed jurors home to change .
*** This means all you gym rats will have to change first before coming to court.
