So, if some guy steals $20,000 from a bank he gets thrown in real jail for a decent amount of time. Martha Stewart bilks people in the stock market out of 10 times that money and she goes to a "college campus" for 6 months. Then, when she gets done, she gets a book deal for $5 million. Rigoddamndiculous.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

Why would you call her a street thug?![]()
The lions sing and the hills take flight.
The moon by day, and the sun by night.
Blind woman, deaf man, jackdaw fool.
Let the Lord of Chaos rule.
I'm about 100% positive laws are on the books and well established to prevent convicted criminals from profiting from their crimes. This all started 10 or 15 years ago when some scumbag wrote a book about his "sickness" after going on a killing spree. He went on to make millions on the book deal and was in the process of negotiating for movie rights. Our good congressmen didn't like the competition so they outlawed the practice. But if anybody's rich enough to find a loophole, it's Martha.![]()
Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???

It would still fall under the anti-profit laws. The only reason she's in prison is because she was a baaaaaad girl. Therefore, she can't write about her prison stint and make a profit from it.Originally Posted by largepkg
