Just found out that Hrafninn flęgur aka Korpen flyger aka Revenge of the Barbarians aka When the Raven Flies is beeing released on DVD due to its 20:th birthday. Wuhu! Im gonna order it right away.
Do yourself a favour and check it out, its a masterpiece.

Its probably remastered from the original film or something, I dont know how that stuff works.
And about the swedish subtitles, yeah of course, if you buy it from a swedish site. Its russian subtitles http://www.dvd-land.ru/details.php?id=1049 if you buy it in russia, it all makes sense.

So according to reviews it's the Viking/Norse version of Yojimbo like Fist Full of Dollars was the Cowboy version.

That Russian DVD sounds almost too good to be true. 5.1 Dolby in both Russian and Icelandic, while the cinema original is mono Icelandic?
Has anyone actually seen any of these DVDs?

Oh no, not this again. Its called dubbing, remastering and digital enhancment and super jumbo make the film better technology. I think its in stereo, not 5.1 you got that part right (I think). Originally Posted by janegil
