I dun think i can expect much from Bush's reign if he gets elected again. GIs will be blown up every day in Iraq.

Just goes ta show ya Busy ... you show 'em ... but ya can't learn 'em. Just remember that when you cast your vote Busy you are agreeing with this war and loose the right to bitch when all the things you do not want to believe really sink in. All the Bush fans in these threads have had every fact about BushCo's romp around the oil rich sands in Iraq layed out, all the enviremental destruction and harm, and all the American rights lost under their power sourced and proven. You can ignore it right now because the damage is not at your door yet. You can crack wise because you don't yet feel the actual costs. But you will. When this time comes ... keep your trap shut because you were offered every chance to explore the options and make an informed decision and instead went with you gut.

I'll keep my trap shut. What you call a "gut" vote, I call an informed decision. Kerry is nothing more that talk. I would never vote for him.

..besides, I've never tried to hide the fact that I would never vote for a pro-"choice" politician, regardless. If they both were, I wouldn't vote.

I do, but I am pro choice too. Plus, not a good argument seeing as how the so-called fetus didn't do anything wrong. Although we are overturning a bunch of convictions these days based on DNA evidence.

No. I think it's ineffective, and thus is pointless. If it made a difference, I might... i dunno.

I know Bush is a big supporter of it, but I don't think that falls even close to within the ballpark of abortion. I see a big difference between killing a murderer & a baby.

I don't want to preach, people. I just wanted BC to see that there was no way I would vote for Kerry, based on my informed decision.

I recall you being pro-life Busy. So am I ... mostly. It is more than a yes/no issue though. This election is so much more important than one issue.

The race draws even closer, from an electoral vote standpoint. FL is now up for grabs after being barely Bush and NH swings toward Kerry also after being barely Bush. We are in for another barnburner I guess.

I guess it is unfortunate that I am still registered to vote in FL. :eyebrows:

Not effective? Maybe it is how it is being handled. Make all of the executions live on TV and I guarentee crime will drop!

I think they should be cruel and unusual deaths. Why should a criminal be given a humane death while the person whom they stabbed 4 times in the abdomen and throat has to die 4 days after the stabbing on a respirator.

that's it, I am now voting for Bush, maybe he can take us to war with the rest of the world, erradicate terrorism, change all cultures to be free and democratic, switch them all over to Christianity, and control the world's oil supply.

Although I disagree with your Pro-choice viewpoint I respect the fact you are consistent on the issue of abortion and the death penalty. I've always struggled to understand people who are pro-choice yet support state sponsored killing of criminals. If life is considered sacrosanct it should be without exception.

If someone killed my son ... know this: there would never be a trial. Drunk driver? Death by draging. Drop a piano on his head? Death by sudden impact trauma. Point is if the system got ahold of the killer there would be no real justice in it for his mother or me. He might die sometime a decade down the road after ten years of 3 squares, pool tables, BB, oral sex from the prison ho, and free cable. He COULD also be sitting in a prison cell next to an innocent man waiting to die for a crime he did not commit. My point? This system is very flawed. A few non-murderers have been killed in the process of doling out the death sentence. A shot in the does beat a shot at parrole ... death should be the result. I just would rather it be at the hand of the victim ... after all DNA or any other type of test has been run and there is 100% certainty the guy did it. Then ... death by booga-booga.

I guess it is unfortunate that I am still registered to vote in FL. :eyebrows:
    Missouri is 51-45 Bush Check
    Arkansas is Bush 51-44 Check
    Virginia is 50-44% Bush Check
    Bush leads in Ohio 49-47
    Bush leads Florida 49-46
    Bush leads Nevada 47-45

With the corrections for wins in Missouri, Arkansas and Virginia it would be
    Bush - 277
    Kerry - 227
    Enough for a Bush win.

Then if you add Ohio Fl. and Nevada
    Bush 329
    Kerry 227

Now those numbers do not add up as they are 538 electoral votes. So I don't know exactly where there numbers came from.

    I think it will be:
    Bush 279
    Kerry 259

Where are you getting your numbers from? VA and AR were given to Bush in this polling data and as of today, Kerry has NV.

They did not give out FL and IA yet since they are tied. Add in those 2 and you get 538.

aaah. In that case, given the lead in Florida holds for Bush, give Kerry Iowa
    Bush 274
    Kerry 264
