    The Biggest Loser

no I'm not talking about IT

is anybody watching this? I wish someone would offer me $250,000 to lose weight! A couple of people on here aren't even that fat, maybe they have an above average body fat % but overall one chick or two are still actually pretty hot. The trainer ain't bad either

it's on NBC, seems like it'd spark an interest on the boards.

Worst show ever. Its a friggin fatty fear factor. Basically they do their "stunts" and whine about what they cant eat and the exercise they have to do. Cassic quote i just heard.. "I just dont think my body cant hold up to this" . Now I dont have anything against fat people but when they whine about it like on this show it just annoys me. I cant believe they devote and hour and a half of primetime television to this crap.

It would be good if at the end they showed side by side comparisons. I also noticed that the host of the show is overweight...odd.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

haha yeah I noticed that too, i guess she's good though, kinda in-between

i like when they start crying, i hate to say it but it's funny. I have a hard time sympathizing for them though, they're getting paid $250,000 to lose weight??? What an amazing oppurtunity, to get all this for free and get paid for it- a personal trainer, a program, etc. So I'll hold my chuckle for sad fat people that can't lose weight cuz there's good people out there that truly have problems, but when you're getting this kind of oppurtunity I don't think a one of them has the right to complain.

that guy's pretty fatty without his shirt. i don't know where he hides it but he does have a lot of body fat.

but it's strange. there's this one girl that's down right skinny. She's not terribly skinny and certainly not in shape, but I wouldn't call her fat. And she's competing with a guy that's 400+ lbs.

personally i think the show is just another reality show scam, networks trying to make some money, but at least the ppl are improving there life and overall health, and im sure it will cause some over weight views to get motivated and lose some wieght also. We are just to fat as a country it makes me sick.
The funniest thing is watching people supersize there meals at fast food place w/ huge fries and the 1,000 calories burger and then get a diet coke. AHHHHHHHHHH sorry just need to vent a bit.

I watched it, I am a reality show junkie!

I liked it cause it was different... the female trainer was harsh, then you they had the zen master on the other team that was more like a group counselor!

I'm ashamed to admit that not only did I watch it, but I actually enjoyed it. Losing 22 lbs in a week is just insane. I'm rooting for Maurice. I need Jillian in the gym with me.

My complaint at the end is that they aren't showing people anything about how to be healthy and exercise and eat properly. They were working out four hours a day with their trainers and killing themselves doing it. They were radically changing their diets and probably cutting their calories in half or more.

They lost an average of 11 pounds per person in a week - almost 40,000 calories per person!? - that's ridiculous and what worries me is that people are going to see this and think it's healthy. Sure, it's healthier than what they were doing, but working out four hours a day and crash dieting is a good way to get hurt and sick really quickly.

That female trainer was hot but she had those people doing movements that down the road could seriously injure them. Plyometrics with an obese person? Kickboxing with obese people? Please. Wait until one of them blows a knee or their back out. They'll probably get "voted off" because they would be seen as weak.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

i watched it and i do think it will be a great show. i think shows that address obesity in this country is what we need. what i think is a shame is those people are losing the weight in order to try and get $250,000.

Of course this is only a reality show scam. If they really wanted to be correct about the whole thing, then they would be measuring body fat percentage instead of just weight. But that is too complicated for the average person who doesn't understand the concept.

20 pound a week for those few guys???

Atleast they all have something in common-DEEP emotional issues, maybe they should have a shrink on the show or something.

I think its just wrong to have all that junk food around too-a no fail environment is important.

It wouldn't be "reality" tv then. Take away the unnecessary conflict, and no one will watch. Hahahhaha!
