Usually this is when they cannot advertise, i.e. Viewsonic having a policy that says you can't advertise cutthroat or below cost pricing etc, becuase other buyers would bitch it was unfair.

Ibought a 17" LCD TV/monitor from samsung for $299
It has a built in tv tuner... speakers... and PIP.
It rocks especially because I can be typing up a paper, and have PIP going w/ the game in the corner.
I picked it up at a SAM's club and haven't seen them for sale since. What a brilliantly sharp and colorful picture though. It can be seen in some of my pics."If you're not part of the solution, you're the precipitate."
