Bush's National Security Strategy
"This strategy will turn adversity into opportunity. For example, emergency management systems will be better able to cope not just with terrorism but with all hazards. TEHRAN, Iran -- The head of Iran's security council said Tuesday that the re-election of President Bush was in Tehran's best interests, despite the administration's "axis of evil" label, accusations that Iran harbors al-Qaida terrorists and threats of sanctions for the country's nuclear ambitions.

Historically, Democrats have harmed Iran more than Republicans, said Hasan Rowhani, head of the Supreme National Security Council, Iran's top security decision-making body.

"We haven't seen anything good from Democrats," Rowhani told state-run television in remarks that, for the first time in decades, saw Iran openly supporting one U.S. presidential candidate over another.

Though Iran generally does not publicly wade into U.S. presidential politics, it has a history of preferring Republicans over Democrats, who tend to press human rights issues.

"We do not desire to see Democrats take over," Rowhani said when asked whether Iran was supporting Democratic Sen. John Kerry against Bush.

"It's not an endorsement we'll be accepting anytime soon," Bush campaign spokesman Scott Stanzel said in response. "Iran should stop its pursuit of nuclear weapons, and if they continue in the direction they are going, then we will have to look at what additional action may need to be taken, including looking to the U.N. Security Council."

The hard thing about stuff like this Manic is that no matter how well sourced or how accurate the info on BushCo is people sill only see what fits into thier mental mold of allowed "facts" while the rest is just dismissed as liberal hype or Kerry lies. For people that make a good living it is even worse. Why accpet this hype if it is not really impacting you?

You guys need to step back and see what's going on. This kind of thing is happening on both sides of the political isle.This is just another case of some political parasitic marketing worms leveraging your political emotions and opinions to make money for themselves. Many of these movie producers have no real political agenda or allegiance. They are purely in it for the money like a pimp is. The look for huge market groups that are created by the huge dichotomies of opinions about : 1) Religion, 2) Politics, 3) Special Interests/Minorities etc etc. and then they feed on these emotions and carve out market niches by writing news letters, producing movies, sponsoring radio talk shows, publishing books etc.

You all are just pawns in the big marketing game - you really do not have any choices. These experts are pushing your buttons just to get you fired up and so upset you will pay money to get tapes, cd's etc. to prove to yourself that you are right in your opinions about things and these guys are laughing their asses off putting big big bucks in their bank accounts. They are exactly like the arms traders who sell arms to both sides of a conflict. They have no incentive to seek peace or resolution of conflict because its all about money and keeping the conflict alive.

Don't get sucked into a game of hate because this is the big trap. If you do then you play into their hands and it will cost you a lot of money and you will be recruited into fighting an ideological war that is a pure fabrication and will never profit you.

I was trying to be politically neutral on this and said both sides are doing it. I can point you to similar things going on in the Bush FLipFlopKerry initiative.

OD unlike some of the other people you have denigrated at this site I have come to my mindset on Bush from watching him in action ... not Kerry hype. I've never been a Kerry fan at all and am not now. Bush is a major destructive force and needs to be removed from office as a direct result of his actions and the actions taken on his behalf by the other members of BushCo. I will vote against him ... and Kerry will get that vote.

You have a good grasp of the English language, but a very poor grasp of the human dynamic. I see you react in a very stuck-up and self inflated way to people's thoughts on a regular basis. I don't really care why you hold yourself in a higher regard than everyone else here at IM OD. I just find it sad.

Back up juuuust a second. The flu vaccination shortage can be traced DIRECTLY back to Hillary. When Bill first took office he put Hillary in charge of Midicare reform. One of her first acts was to shove an initiative down congress' throat that put a cap on vaccine prices and then forced the government to buy up all these vaccines at the capped prices and GIVE them away to disadvantaged youth. OK, sounds great on the surface, free vaccines for disadvantaged youth. The problem is we're not a Socialist country, we're SUPPOSED to be Capitalists. So, the drug manufacturers, since they were now losing money on the deal, packed up their toys and went to play somewhere else. That left us dependant on foreign drug companies. (Can you say "outsourcing"?) Anyway, when one of those foreign companies put out a huge batch of tainted flu vaccine, we came up short. So, my question is, how is this George Bush's fault?

It's funny how people like OD throw around accusations of flip-flopping while being blissfully unaware that Bush has a similar record. It's one thing to flip-flop in the senate and another to flip-flop in government.

BC and this was not as you say "jumping on you". When someone puts a subject out there with a title like "please have an open mind" I take it to heart. I was trying to get you to look at this objectively and see the bigger picture. I understand all too well how people get defensive when they are faced with the truth and pretty much just ignore personal attacks like you just made. I did not attack you personally I was attempting to provoke you in a way to cause you to think about how your emotions are being manipulated like a puppet on a string. If you want to direct that anger at me - go right ahead since I think it a noble sacrifice for me to take that kind of anger off the street for even a brief moment. Stuck up? No, I am trying to get you to step back and see a different perspective and have you consider that there are much larger forces at play in this country (and world) than you are clearly currently unaware of. Red I said nothing in this thread about kerry flip flooping. I mentioned that in the context of the forces that are at play. Given your rhetoric my opinion is that you sound like a good and obedient soldier in the mind control game.

Oh please, spare me the 'I'm an enlighted citizen' crap. You're in the same rat race as the rest of use and just refuse to admit it. Trust me, I'm under no illusions about the state of this country. The illusion of choice is tempting I agree, but here's choice in America: paper or plastic. Lots of consumer choice but little else. The senate is little more than a vending machine and polititians on both sides corrupt and self-serving. Having said that Kerry is the lesser of two evils, if you think that's 'rhetoric' so be it.
