    Militants have kidnapped at least seven other foreign women over the past six months, and all were released. In September, Italian aid workers Simona Torretta and Simona Pari, both 29, were kidnapped from their Baghdad offices; they were freed three weeks later.

    After the Itialian government supposedly paid a HUGE ransom, which
    certainly does not deter more kidnappings from taking place if true.

    This lady has worked in Iraq for 30 years and has an Iraqi husband for
    chrissakes. Just goes to show these kidnappers will abduct anyone who
    does not look Arab. Kidnappers suck.
